Much better than a many times more expensive Weller WP-35
Wow, I like this better than my Weller WP-35, and it is WAY cheaper!! Warms quickly. Tip is not grounded. Use the point for delicate work, use the side for more heat transfer for bigger areas or spots with more connections! Use with a current limiter or variac to control the temp and save overheating the tip when not needing full heat.UPDATE: Oct 2020. After using for hours DAILY, the element gave up. I'm buying another!!

Higher wattage irons are best!
This is a great soldering iron. I had a lower wattage iron that could not melt pre-soldered items. So I ordered this higher wattage iron and it did the trick. All the grips on the handle make it feel very comfortable for use. A+

Works great. I've had no problems with it other than me just not knowing how to solder. I can't tin the tip for some reason. The solder just breads up and falls off. But this is probably just me.
