Unfortunately you have to open the lid to charge then shut it. My daughter smashed it within a week of me getting it but will not replace because when you don't use lid it gets wet and then stops working.

2 / 4 jars simply don't work!
If you get working ones then the price is a bargain. But otherwise you just end up buying some junk.2 of 4 jars don't even work for me, but I don't know yet if it's due to the units or the batteries inside of them.

Solar powered kilner jar
Really pretty solar powered kilner jar. Looks great at night. Lasts a long time. Would def recommend.

Poor product, poor service.
Very poor product. I got two, and on a day when they are in full sun for the whole day one lasts 1.5 hrs if I'm lucky, the other barely 30 mins. I raised with the supplier and they didn't respond.

Just don’t buy this junk
This is a joke. One little bit of rain and the thing is full of water and not working, despite the lid being locked shut.
