Package came with 2 wire cutters, so I gave one to my dad and kept one. We both had the same issue locating the latch to open the cutters. It blends in with the cutter, so it's a little difficult to locate. With that being said, this is a great value for your money with two for the price of 1. Decent cutting power, haven't had any other issues as of yet! 4 stars!

ordered the 2 pack.. bc my husband likes to lose things.. and these are great.. they are heavy duty.. but not to heay to use for a long period of time.. they cut clean and smooth.. my only suggestion would be to make the latch/lock for opening or locking them maybe a yellow color to be seen easier.. and not have to look around for it.. but other than that.. these things work great

My husband, a retired general contractor, is very impressed with these. He says they are heavy weight, solid and cut great. He actually pulls them out to show them off to his construction friends. They are all impressed.There was a minimal quality control issue. One pair are perfect. The second pair was not perfectly aligned. The open and close movement was not as smooth as the first. They still work great just take a bit more effort.

So many times in the past I tried to use the wrong tool to cut something it really wasn't made for. All I succeeded in doing was ruining a good tool. With these cutters I can cut just about anything. If these can't do the job, I have a pair of 16" bolt cutters!Smooth operation and a good locking mechanism. After cutting a few things around the garage, I inspected the cutters and didn't see any maring or other marks. Should last a good long time.

The media could not be loaded.  Almost identical to my Pedro's cutters, and better than the Park Tool cutters I use at work. Handles are more comfortable, and easier to grip when you get a bit of mineral oil on your hands. Geometry makes centering wire and hose easier, and cuts are very clean. Like the jaws that are slightly larger than the jaws on the Pedro's. Spring is smoother too. Fantastic value, especially two for one!

I have gone thorough so many pairs of clippers cutting through aircraft cable so I was really hesitant to order these when I saw them and was even more hesitant when I saw them in person. That is until I clipped through some aircraft cable and it cut them like scissors through paper. That earned them spot in the toolbox.Fast forward a few weeks and my dad tells me that he ran over a heavy duty tomato cage with the mower and it was wound up in the blades. I grabbed these cutters and set to work on the tomato cage, which is made of incredibly thick rod. I was shocked when these clipped through the rod like butter. It was insane to use them and burn through the tomato cage. Needless to say, I am sold on these cutters and have ordered a second set just to have them in reserve.

I see tools a lot of times with this type of coil spring and never had good luck with them, or at least after some time. I almost passed on getting these but looked over them again and thought was worth a shot. My only dislike I guess is the lock for the jaw only has a little bump on it to use to slide it around.They looked pretty heavy-duty but still had my doubts so I first gut a roofing nail I had laying around then cut a screw with them. It was not really easy to cut the screw but to my surprise it did. I honestly did not think these would cut it either a leverage issue, or they would just break.The one picture shows I had to remove a part intact and had to cut sheet metal, this cut right through it like nothing on the first try to my surprise. I would defiantly get it again.
