Best Dry Shampoo On the Market!!
I don't understand why this stuff has so many poor reviews. I can only assume that they don't understand how to use it correctly - because this stuff is absolutely life changing - and that is not an exaggeration! My daughter has this, straight, very oily hair. (For reference, she has light brown hair and we use the Blonde color on her - it's a perfect match!) I've tried just about every can of dry shampoo on the market. Everything else just kinda worked for a few hours - this stuff works for DAYS. It's an absolute miracle. I did my research and followed application tips from other reviews that are buried in here at this point. Here's a recap of what works for us: - I part her hair from forehead to crown. Do only a couple of *very light* taps on the hair, not the scalp. Then move over a couple of inches and repeat until I’ve gone from ear to ear. - I repeat - do not to apply directly to your scalp. Aim for the hair only - about a cm or so out. - Again, don't use too much! Start with a couple of light taps - you can always add more if needed. This stuff goes a long way and if you use too much, the hair will feel dry and chalky. - Let the powder sit in your hair for a few minutes to soak up the oils. Then you can start rubbing the powder around/through your roots with your fingers. Another reviewer suggested using a Boar Bristle brush to distribute - I agree This is a great help!! You can also flip the head over when rubbing the roots - that's great too. Another reviewer suggested using a cool blow dryer at this point - I haven't tried that yet but will. - This stuff works great for us any time - but as another reviewed suggested, it is especially fantastic if you apply it at night before bed. I don't know why, but when we do the night method, my daughter's hair is always especially fantastic in the morning! - For applying to the hairline, I suggest tapping a little powder into your hand and applying with a makeup brush, if need be. But honestly, once we are the point of spreading it around, it tends to naturally take care of the hairline anyway. I think that's all I can think of for now. Try it! Be patient! If you do it correctly, this stuff truly is amazing! I followed tips from other reviews that are burried in here at this point. Here's a recap of what works for us

Possibly the best dry shampoo I’ve ever used
I have nothing negative to say about this item. It was easy to use, straight out of the box and gave my hair an instant, healthy, bouncy volume. Instantly absorbed the excess oil and didn’t leave a white residue. I’d definitely be buying more!

works for several days
I was annoyed when i saw the price of this item compared to the size of the container. Then i used it, and my fears were gone. A little dab will do you! Also, i find this keeps my hair oil free for 2-3 days. I only need to use it once a week. I have thick fine hair with very oily roots and dry ends. Traditionally, I have to wash my hair every 5 days, and on day 5 it needs to be up in ponytail, it's noticeably greasy. I am unhappy with literally every shampoo i use, as this oily roots thing won't go away, even with daily brushing to redistribute oils. Until I can find a shampoo that will cure that, this will make things manageable for 7 days. I love that it isn't aerosol, i can apply exactly where I need. I usually apply, let sit for a few minutes, then brush it out and i have day one hair again!!!! It also does not have an overpowering scent, that is a major plus as well. There are 2 reasons for the 4 stars- while this does work for days, I notice my roots have a residue on them. I know this means the product is there, continuously working, but i can feel it when i brush my hair and it kinda catches on the brush. Secondly, I do find it leaves a white cast. This is lessened by better application (don't jam the applicator in one spot, gently tap in several key areas and then brush out well), but as a dark brunette, this is a problem with almost every dry shampoo i have tried. Next time, i may try the darker colored powder they carry- but that may be a while! All in all, a product that lasts for a few days, meaning i only have to use once a week is a major win, and I would recommend this to anyone with very oily roots.

Where has this stuff been all my life?!?
I'm a bit of a dry shampoo fiend, and I'm SUPER picky about what I use because I have dark hair and hair that gets oily QUICK. I need my dry shampoo to last at least two days before the grease starts to show back up, and it cannot leave a white cast. My go-to for a while was Batiste's dark brunette one, but I had to use a lot more than I wanted to get it to really take care of the oil, and didn't love that it left a light brown stain every night on my white pillowcases. This stuff is perfect - it doesn't leave a white cast once you rub it in, and you need VERY little for it to work. It also works over several days - not that I'm proud of it, but at once point due to the chaos in my life I didn't wash my hair for over 10 days, but with this I only had to apply twice over that 10 day period, which given my hair gets super greasy, is a miracle. It's also PERFECT for travel. With my new job I've been traveling internationally a lot for work, and it was getting annoying and expensive to keep buying the travel sized dry shampoo sprays. This worked perfect and I often stowed it in my carryon or purse to apply after I landed overnight. I'm about to take it on my trip to Europe for 2 weeks and it will be perfect! Only major callout - once you've put this stuff in, and especially if you've used too much (no seriously, use VERY LITTLE) any slickness or sleekness you might want out of your hair is hard to come by. I cannot roundbrush my hair at all with this stuff in it, it feels a bit like I am trying to comb through teased hair when I do that. This kind of texture isn't visible (other than the great volume it gives you), but it doesn't feel great on your hair when you touch it and can be hard to comb through. This isn't a major issue for me since I do relatively little hair styling, but for some this might be a dealbreaker. So if you want to try it, heed the warning - you don't need much of this (which is good because it lasts so long!) - also maybe put it on AFTER you've styled your hair.

Good compact option, not good if you touch your hair a lot though.
Torn on this review because it’s definitely got its pros and cons. Pros: -great dry shampoo that does its job. -great as a compact for on-the-go. Cons: -Very messy, and no visible indication of which side to open (I accidentally opened the wrong side the first few times and that was a disaster) -last but not least, I touch my hair a lot whether it’s getting it out of my face or fluffing it up for volume throughout the day. This is not good at all for this product because it gets all over your hands and that is the reason for my two star deduction. Other than that, great product. I really like that it freshens up your roots well however I will likely opt for a different solution due to not wanting to wash my hands every time I touch my head :(.

Better Choices Out There
I figured I would give this a try for a couple of months before I wrote a review, so here is my thoughts after two months of consistent use! I think this dry shampoo does a good job of oil control. I do like that you have a little more control of application compared to a regular spray dry shampoo and you can really concentrate it in some areas while having light coverage in other areas. I would say I have some major issues with this dry shampoo that outweighs my pros sadly. 1. It definitely leaves a residue in your hair that you can feel throughout the day. Even if it is fully settled into your hair, if you brush your hand over your scalp for example, you are going to feel it. I initially wanted to try this in hopes it would not leave a residue, as I tend to stay away from aerosol sprays for this exact reason. It is more so a personal preference and texture issue on my part, so this may be something others can look over. But for me, it really bugs me. There is certainly a learning curve using this product, LESS IS MORE, trust me. But even using a smaller amount and being careful, I cannot get past the feeling it leaves in my hair. 2. I find that my scalp is a little more itchy when using this product. Not terribly so to where I am scratching at my head all day long, but certainly noticeable. Once the product is washed out of my hair, it is seriously like my scalp is taking a big breath of fresh air. 2. I have never used a dry shampoo that made my hair SOOOO staticky!!!!! Prior to using this, I have never had an issue with my hair being staticky. I am not sure if it is the soft top applicator, or the actual dry shampoo itself, but it is a serious pain in the butt. Even running your hands through your hair, instant static. I have had to run into the bathroom at work multiple times to wet my hands with water and run them through my hair so I don't look insane lol 3. The applicator itself seems to pick up any/all pet hair. Again, it could be the fact that I have 5 cats and their hair ends up on everything :) , but it seems like any/everything will stick to the applicator. Dust, pet hair, random pieces of fuzz you name it. It is kind of a pain to have to inspect the applicator before every use. I do have a few things I did like about this product. 1. Despite the texture issue, the oil control was actually very good! I have extremely oily, thin and super dark hair. Compared to regular spray dry shampoos, this has settled into my hair better than most others I have tried. 2. I loved the convenience of the product, it is super small, small enough to stick in your purse or makeup bag for on the go and the product itself has lasted me a really long time. I have used it consistently every week, about 2/3 days a week for the last two months and I feel like I still have a really generous amount of product left. 3. No scent has been so great for me! A lot of other products have a really intense smell to them, but this has no scent at all which I appreciated. Overall, I would not repurchase this product. I feel like this product would be great for someone who does not have super oily hair, can go 2-3 days without a wash and has really thick hair. This may even work for someone with lighter hair, as I have dark brown, nearly black hair and although this product has settled into my hair better than most, if you were to get up close to me you can certainly tell there is dry shampoo in my hair.

Tinted dry shampoo
The color is a little too red to look natural on my shade brown hair so it makes my scalp look inflamed. It also stained my shower wall when i leaned my head against the wall. I think something about it mixing with water caused it to stain because it came out of my clothes and off my hands just fine. That aside, it smells good, had a good texture and does work well as a dry shampoo. The application is fine.

Leaves residue
I’m not sure what I was really expecting with a tinted dry shampoo, but this wasn’t it. The poof is cute but kind of hard to control the amount of product. After applying it to my hair, I waited a few minutes before using my fingers to shake my hair out and distribute it. My hands came out brown! Even under my fingernails. I had to wash my hands a few times to get rid of it. I looked closer to my scalp and where I applied it, it stained my scalp. I have fine hair that gets oily quickly, which is why I wanted dry shampoo to help touch it up, but it looks more like I’m trying to cover my grays instead. If I put it on and leave it overnight and touch my hair the next day, the color doesn’t come off on my hand. I guess I need to find the happy medium between 8 minutes and 8 hours. When I shower after using it, it also visibly comes out and I can see the brown on my shower walls. It does clean up the oil, but I’m not a fan of the color and mess.
