Excellent value
This unit will save a tone of time if you take photos of your settings when you have set it up for each track you are recording. The limiter works a treat - haven't figured out what the pink noise generator is for yet - but I'm sure that rocks too!

Good bit of kit.
Absolutely great EQ. I use in the home with a Crown XLS as main system at the moment and have to say it's a great EQ with lots of helpful features.

It works
This is old school audio equipment, but does its job. The one dislike I have are the slide controls. These feel cheap, but do work. Generally, I prefer to set the tonal response off line... No computer..... Listen, feed into the scope and once satisfied with the sound, record.

It's personal
Well, different people like different music played in different ways, and their hearing is different, and it changes even throughout the day... Not to mention age related hearing loss... :o( So although it is good to listen directly to the source, it's also good to play with the sound to your heart's desire. Sometimes I plug my Audio Technica ATH-M50x headphones directly to Marantz 6003 CD player, but sometimes the signal path meanders from CD player, through the FBQ, to the Mission Cyrus II amp or Akai GX65 used as phones amp. And I spend 10-15 minutes setting the FBQ up to play the track again the way I like it. As a teenager I wanted to be a sound engineer. Absolutely love the kit!

Cheap And Flimsy
This company was always a favourite of mine in the past for outboard gear, but when I needed to replace my 2 mono 32 band eq's due to old age I chose this one. Bad mistake. This was not the solidly built and robust kind of equipment that I had come to rely on for so long, but a cheap plastic version and although reasonably priced for what it is, I do feel that my money was more wisely saved for something of more robust quality. Sorry Behringer, this kind of throw away quality only belongs in a Christmas cracker!

Strumento ottimo

Another Behringer Winner
I bought this for live sound purposes to help "tune" the front of house system. Although I haven't officially used it yet for a show, I've tested it in my basement with a downsized sound system set up and have found it to be very useful. The limiter is great. And the feedback detection system was one of the main reasons I bought it (as well as the price). The built in pink noise is very useful. I purchased a frequency detection iPhone app to measure the room sound. It shows me immediately what frequencies could be a problem (where the peaks and dips are). This helps me make EQ adjustments on the Behringer EQ for the room and speakers to try to get a more flat response. I really should get the smaller version of this EQ to for my stage monitors. My only real complaint is a complaint I have about Behringer in general. They don't provide very useful manuals. When I think of a company like Mackie, who write some indepth, very useful manuals, Behringer is lacking. If Behringer products weren't good, I certainly wouldn't buy them. And I certainly wouldn't buy them based on the poor documentation/manuals they provide. But their products are impressive and well worth the price.
