## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can this be used on handmade utensils that will get hot/ when used for cooking?**
A: I’ve used it on all my handmade spoons, knives and forks without any problems. In fact it seems to protect the wood from changes in temperature (stirring during cooking, washing up etc.) Hope this helps.

**Q: Is this good as a wood stabilizer to prevent fresh cut from cracking?**
A: It would depend entirely what type of wood you want to stabilise and how seasoned / dry it is. It MIGHT help, but there are plenty of wood stabilisers, if that is what you want, I would advise - buy the product made for the job.

**Q: How long do you leave to dry?**
A: I put a couple of coats on initially. The first oiling soaks in quite quickly, subsequent coats can take a little longer. I have a large board in my kitchen that I oil every couple of months, this I oil very well and leave it overnight.

**Q: Has anyone tried this on a granite kitchen? What were the results?**
A: I can see no reason why one would want to put mineral oil on to a granite worksurface. It would serve no purpose, as it is intended to treat and condition wooden surfaces.
