The item is fine but on pushing the pagage into my letterbox my letterbox sustained damage ie the brush draft excluder was broken I have to replace completer letterbox

If you have watched any Heartbeats and enjoyed them I can recommend every single one.I have the whole series now.If you watch one a night you will have over a years entertainment.

This was a classic series when it first came out and was well written, acted and had some great music in the background. It also had some great scenery and some very classic characters, notable Greengrass and Sergeant blaketon, but was played well by all actors involved. This fourth series was when it was at it's prime and this DVD is well worth having as there are some classic episodes on it. However I think after series 5 it should have finished, because after then it in my opinion the series fell into decline, and run out of idea's. But I can recommend this DVD to anybody who was a fan of the series in the early years.............

I agree with another reviewer that the price is bound to increase as the number of episodes increases per series, however he says that series 4 has 16 episodes which if at that time they were still 50 min each that would be a total of 800 mins but it says it is 650 mins. This means it is either 13 episodes or it is 16 at around 41 mins each not 50. I think it is more likely 13 episodes which means for just another 3 episodes the price is a little high but not really that bad and probably not the big rip-off that some others think it is. I will still get it because I love it and it is so good to at long last have it on DVD. A joy to watch and to own.

The fourth series is one of my favourites due to the fact that Kate is now working in a practice in Whitby and broadens the storylines somewhat. And for all the people complaining about the price going up, it is because of the simple fact that from Series 4 onwards the series got longer. Series 4 has 16 episodes, Series 5 has 15 episodes, Series 6 has 17 episodes and from Series 7 onwards there was 24 episodes per series up to and including series 12. So you cannot expect all these episodes for the same amount as you would be paying for 10 episodes!

I have loved watching Heartbeat, thanks to Amazon.

Bought for a grandmother who loves this series. Arrived on time and was packaged well. Quite expensive but I guess that is because it is an old series.
