Great little starter tank. Needed a home for a new betta fish that was given to my daughter as a gift in a little fish bowl. I believe it came from a party as a centerpiece. Felt a need to let him thrive because I felt guilty as a 8-10 yr old child, I would always buy bettas and they would always die on me. Now that I’m older, did the time for some research then more research and then more research on how to take care of them and how to cycle a tank. I had know idea, I was about to spend more than just a tank lol. Live plants, substrates, barriers, food, lights and countless chemical treatments, cleaners and tools. The tank is very cute and perfect size for where I planned to put it. I have very little space in my home. It is clear as glass can be but downside was it was narrow for putting things in the tank. It came with a light that was bleh.. did not sit flush because of the filter and felt like it blocked too much of the tank to get in there. Dealt with it, till I researched how to get live plants to thrive with a good full spectrum light and upgraded to one and can use a smart plug to work with google home. The filter that came with it, is a really good size for this tank. I read complaints that it was noisy and did notice it the first few days. After tinkering and saw that it came from the skimmer, I just raised the water level a lot higher about an inch to inch and a half to rim. It is super quiet. I can’t even tell that it’s on. Also with the higher level, you can slow the flow rate much more for my betta Red. Now Red seems happy and has a little more room to swim and explore. This may be a new hobby for me now. Just need more space for bigger tanks.

Beautiful aquarium. I chose the 3 gal tank due to needing a smaller tank for my Beta. The 3 gal tank is a nice size in length and thinner to fit without taking up much room. It's large enough for plenty of deco to make my Beta happy and ready for a small tank heater to keep steady temp. Beautifully made, thick, clear glass, very happy with it. I bought this fish tank about a month ago and I’m very impressed with the quality. The glass is crystal clear, the build feels very solid, and the overall design looks clean and modern. My fish and shrimp have been doing great in it so far. Highly recommend!

Update #2- I've had this tank for 6 months now, and I'm thrilled with it. I did a few modifications. I completely removed the skimmer part. I also got another light for it because the one that came with it stopped working. But the pump is still almost silent after 6 months, and it is a lovely little aquarium. I highly recommend it. Definitely well worth the price! I bought this in a pinch because my other tank started leaking and was pleasantly surprised. I was a bit worried after reading reviews talking about the filter being very loud. The filter is super quiet (see video) IF you do a little hack. Somehow the skimmer top fell off and got lost when I was putting it together. I improvised by plugging the top with a silicone ear bud sizing thing (to make earbuds fit different size ear holes). If the skimmer close to the surface where it draws in both air and water, the pump is very loud. So make sure the skimmer is submerged well below the surface, or maybe completely plug it. You can see my skimmer hack in the photo. I only deducted a star because I don't think the skimmer is a good design. I'd give 4.5 stars if I could. EDIT- After a week, I have a few more notes to add. They are all things that are cons, but there are work-arounds. The biggest con is that if you use the automatic timer setting for the light, the controller will continuously flash blue light when the light is off and it is very bright. I have gone to bed multiple times and had to get out of bed after turning off the light to get up and turn the controller power off, which makes it have a steady blue light (which is still a bit annoying and a waste of electricity). I'm going to get some electrical tape and tape over it to hopefully block the light. The filter needs a few other tweaks. The intake tube sections come apart easily and have fallen off, which thankfully didn't suck up my Betta and kill him. A drop of super glue at the joints fixed that. Also, I forgot to mention that the filter only comes with a foam pad. I got rid of that and put a pouch of Fluval Biomax media in instead. This, in addition to 1/4 teaspoon of Quick Start beneficial bacteria/ day, eliminated the nitrite that was showing up on the tests within a couple of days.

Pros: It is made with clear thick glass (5mm), and the silicone work seems to be fine. It’s not like Landen aquarium, where silicone work is excellent. It only takes up a small space on my desk, which is awesome. Cons: This thing doesn’t hold 3 gallons of water. It only holds around 2.7ish gallons of water if you fill it up to the brim. I keep all my tanks an inch or two below the brim. So basically, it is only a 2.5-gallon tank. It has no depth whatsoever, so I don’t know if betta fish are an option. I might make it my shrimp tank. I will still give it a 5-star rating especially for the price, but it might change in the future if anything happens. Also, I will test it with water for 24 hours before setting it up.

The tank itself is very well made, but the dimensions are a bit odd. It’s extremely narrow. This makes it a little hard to work with. I ended up breaking down the planted tank I was trying in the aquarium and now just use it as housing for my live fish food culture. If you have a plan in mind for the specific shape, it’s a good tank.

I wanted to get an aquarium for my betta to replace an older acrylic tank that was showing some scratches. This one seemed to fit the bill although the one main deterrent was that it didn't come with a lid (more on that later). It's a beautiful tank with a nice large front surface for viewing your fish. On the other hand, it's quite narrow, and so if you're ham-fisted like I am, getting things set up right in your tank can be difficult, and cleaning it when the time comes is going to be a chore. I like the fact that this isn't a kit. No crappy filter or light to deal with (I usually replace them anyway). I can use the simple sponge filter and aquarium light I already have for this set-up. Back to the lid... I've recently lost two "friends" because they wanted to venture outside their tanks and made a jump for it (this happened at night through the narrowest of openings). Bettas can jump! Therefore a lid is a must. So I ordered a couple of other things with my tank in order to make a lid for the tank. The plastic sheets are rigid, but can easily be cut, so you can "notch" the top where your hoses, wires, and light go. The plastic latches are perfect for attaching the lid to the aquarium. I have had tank over a year now. Its perfect size for a Betta and sits on my side table . Its thin enough to perfectly fit onto 24" wide table close to corner yet still have adequate desktop space . I have a slim Nicrew water filter (no noise) and a 12 " Pawfly lamp . The entire unit is very attractive and the glass also very clear . For 3 gallon tank the Betta does not look cramped and has lots of room to swim around. No need for a cover. The tank seldom goes on sale and I can see why.
