Excellent quality for the price by itself, and includes a bag!
It looks beautiful and well made, and it includes a good bag with corner protectors for that low price! It comes well packed, so that even though the box had some shipping damage it did not harm the board. By the way the board back side comes beautifully stained too! Not like they show it unstained in their pictures! I had almost hesitated buying it because of that, glad I bought it! See my pictures!

Beautiful chess board at a bargain price.
The Mahogany and Maple make a beautiful inlaid chess board. The fit and finish of the inlaid squares is excellent. It is delivered in a protective sleeve, inside a professional looking fabric carrying case. .... And at a margin price.

It’s big!
Excellent quality and just what I was looking for. 21.25” square so find a good spot for it! I paired it with the Husaria Staunton No. 6 set (3.9” king) and it looks great. Solid wood with fine details.

Really happy with this board
I got the 2.25" version, and I'm really happy with it. Originally got the board with the 2" squares, but it was too cramped for the pieces that I have. Love the fact that it comes with a carrying case as well. Really enjoy the look and feel of playing chess on a quality board with nice weighted pieces.

It's made with real wood, not laminated particle boad.
Love the price and the fact that its made with wood. Love the color contrast that matches my large chess set (not included). When you turned you see is real wood. Board is 21" x 21" and the squares are 2 1/4" x 2 1/4" perfect for my real wood set. The pouch it comes with is sturdy and lined to add protection. Not cheap plastic is ruff, water proof. For the money it was a great purchase! Recommended! Walnut color!

The chess board I was looking for!
Could not be happier with this board. I have the Lewis Chessmen pieces which are a little oversized and this board is perfect for them. I just love the look and quality of the board!

Should be close to blemish free for the price
Beautiful board, but for the the price, you'd think it would be blemish free. One maple square looks like it has small holes and dirt got stuck in it, but the surface is smooth. Hence the star rating.
