You can use directly on your own nail the kit come with forms that are sticky to make your own sculpted nail with no tip required

How do you clean the brushes?

I clean them with the Flowers Monomer liquid and a paper towel in between each application.

Is this as damaging as real acrylic nails? Is it bad for your nails?

The reason acrylic is "bad for your nails" is because it can soften your natural nail bed over time. The fact that they're exposed to air is what makes them hard other than that improper removal can also cause damage but other than that acrylic doesn't really damage your nails.
