Great item for trips!
It was really helpful in my euro trip. Great design. I could drink fresh water everywhere. You can carry in your backpack or hands. The plastic quality feels really nice and the filter was amazing.

Not all countries have filtration for their water.
This BPA water filter bottle, was the best thing that I could have traveled with to ecuador. I dropped it like a thousand times and it didn't break. I hiked up a mountain in ecuador, hands free had it strap to my small backpack. Got many positive feedback from many of my missionary brothers and sisters. I have recommended this to all travelers that I was with.

Quality and size are perfect — filter is slow at first, then picks up
This LifeStraw Go is a 5-star bottle for me. Quality and size are perfect. Filtration is slow at first, but it does speed up after you get going. Once it does, it’s easy to use and I like the build. I’d buy it again.

Good water bottle, yet there's some flaws
I appreciate this water bottle as it helps me drink a lot more water during my shifts at work, and it helps water taste less metallic in my opinion. Although, I guess with good products you can always find some flaws with it. Flaw number one is, even if you go slightly above the "Max- 1 L" line on the bottle, if you put your straw in, it can overflow quite easily causing a mess. Especially if you put ice in the water. Flaw number two is, for some reason, every time I use this bottle and I get to halfway done with my water, some of the water backs up into the straw and forms at the very tip of the mouth piece so when you pick it up, water pours all over you if you tilt it slightly to drink out of it. I've had this happen on multiple occasions and I do not understand why, especially because it only happens when I get to the halfway mark, and it's not overfilled at all. Another thing I don't understand with this is the water keeps backing up into the mouth piece to the point where you have to drink out of it in order to get it to stop backing up and trying to overflow out of the mouth piece. I have to hold it straight in order to drink out of it when this happens because it'll just spill all over me. Flaw number three, is I believe what occurs with all filtered water bottles that come with a straw. The straw never reaches the bottom for some reason, I don't know if companies do this purposefully or they aren't able to make the filtered straw long enough to reach the bottom, but I am constantly having to remove the filtered straw and mouth piece all together to get the last ounce of water out of my bottle and am forced to drink the tap water that I put in my bottle, unfiltered. I wish companies would make their filtered straws long enough so they could reach the bottom. I can't say if my last flaw is a flaw or not, since it's more of a preference of mine and I learned this the hard way, but you definitely cannot put water mixes in your water with this bottle. I learned this the hard way when I put in a powder mix for some mango green tea flavoring for my water in my bottle and it left the filtered stained as well as it absorbed all of the flavoring but it became sour real fast and made all my future drinks horrible. I had to buy a replacement because of this. I guess I could've avoided this by maybe putting some fruit in my water or something if I wanted flavoring instead of the flavoring powders, but I feel as though even with fruit it would've absorbed the flavoring and made all my future drinks nasty. I guess that is the downfall of having a filtered water bottle though, and maybe I should look into getting a filtered water pitcher so I could put some fruit in there or something to have at home and not at work. Anyways, if you're looking for a good water bottle that has a filter and you can work around the flaws that I've found, this is the one for you.

Useful Purchase
I like this bottle very much. I take it camping, to the park, and to other peoples houses so I don't drink all their bottled water. I drink A LOT of water. The water in the bottle tastes clean and I have had no issues. I will say that it does kind of taste funny for the first few days. It reminds me of the way a Camelback tastes at first but that goes away.

It’s worth the purchase.
This is by far the best water bottle that I own. I have not encountered any smell. I use it when traveling because you never know what the water is gonna be like in a new place. The water quality and taste of the water is greatly neutralized and made palatable. It’s very functional and easy to travel with, but I attach a strap to the top by looping it around. It does not have a shoulder strap. My main complaint for this purchase is leakage. Because of the way that the sip top is designed when you open the bottle water can come squirting out the next time you use it if you do not blow down into it when you’re done before capping it. Typically, changing temperatures exacerbate this problem or opening it on an airplane. Overall, the value for the money is still really great because it is your own personal walking filter, allowing you to refill at any water station with peace of mind.

Nice bottles but hard to drink out of.
Great size, easy to clean, tastes clean. We use these day-to-day but especially when we travel. However, it is incredibly hard to suck the water out. I purchased this one for myself and a larger one for my husband, and he had the same problem. Unfortunately, I don’t think we’ll be using them much longer. We’ve been using them for a couple of months and find ourselves using our other water bottles because these are just too much of a struggle to drink out of.

Don't wait- Buy it Now!!!
I love the new design of this water bottle. I bought the original one directly from LifeStraw a few years again and have carried it everywhere with me. Well about 6 months ago I noticed that the old design started leaking when on it's side, so when the new design came out I wanted to try it. I love that it now has a cap- that prevents leaking but also keeps the mouth part from being exposed. I drink a ton of water and LifeStraw makes the best filtered bottles for a reasonable cost. Their 2 part system means that the water is the cleanest best tasting that it can be. The filters work on tap water or water out in nature. It's easy to drink out of, sucking on it like you would with any straw. I <3 LifeStraw UPDATE! Okay so originally I thought this bottle didn't leak, but there is a small air hole in the lid and the cap isn't water tight, so if the bottle is laying on it's side with the airhole towards the surface it's laying on it WILL Leak! ALSO really important- the rubber mouth piece screws on and off- if you don't take it off to clean it grows mold!!!

Great for trekking
The size (1L) was perfect for trekking and having enough water for the day or until you can find a water source. I used to use potabilizing tablets, but after few days of drinking treated water, I always got an upset stomach. From now on, this bottle will be coming with me on every adventure. Several times I have refilled the bottle with lake/river water that did not look in great condition (sediments, small bugs, algae...) and not once got sick or the water tasted off. I researched for days to try to find the best option for this kind of devices and finally decided to give a go to this one, and during my recent trip to Nepal, I found out that about 50% of the people trekking was using this same brand, on different models (lifestraw, CamelBak with lifestraw, etc.). It is true that you have to apply some pressure when sucking for the water to come out, but it is minimal and does not affect your experience. The filters are easy to remove, clean and replace, and all the materials are of high quality. Unintentionally I dropped the bottle couple times from quite a height, and other than some superficial scratches, nothing got damaged. I recommend 100% this item to all my fellow travelers.

tedious to use while on holiday
tedious to use while on holiday, especially through airports, and honestly the cost versus buying bottles of water make this cost/ value of lifestraw not good value for irregular vacations. however, if your camping or in an area where bottled water isnt readily accessible and available - or the bottled/filtered water is questionable, I can see this being useful. just not useful for me, hence 4 stars.
