I have type 2b high porosity hair. The shampoo was not good for my hair. It didn’t lather until I did 3-4 washes with a palmful of product each (that’s a lot). The smell is not as bad as the reviews mentioned. It smells like aloe Vera. The conditioner is great but it doesn’t give my curls definition. My hair drinks it up and gets weighted down which gives me straighter hair with volume.
