I have installed this in a Network Video Recorder. It installed, formatted, and has been running now for over a month entirely without problem and is wonderfully quiet compared to the hard drive it has replaced. It is well worth buying this drive, optimised for surveillance applications as there is a reduction in noise and heat compared to a standard hard drive being used in the same application.

前はWDの青の３TBを使っていたのですが そろそろ容量が足りなくなってきたかなっと思い こちらの紫の６TBを購入しました！ 以前はフォルダやファイルにアクセスして読み込もうとすると 少し気になる音（ｶﾀｶﾀ）がしていましたが こちらは読み込み音も静かでアクセスの速度も早いように感じました 購入直後にエラーの確認をしましたが大丈夫そうなので 長い間使っていけそうで満足です(*'ω｀*)

Use it if you have to write a lot of surveillance data in it. Ensure to use a robust and good NAS station or docking station for 3.5 inch SATA drive since it is a 6TB drive, it needs good power support.
