Are the paddles silicone?

No they are a thick plastic material. I wouldn't let resin dry on it but it is easy to wipe off before cured

Is the motor strong enough for the thicker resins?

What do you mean by thicker resin, like how much you make at one time or when it's started to set already? I use it with pretty large batches and it works great still.

It wasn’t very loud. But it caused a lot of bubbles in my epoxy that it wasn’t worth it and I returned the mixer.

The paddle broke off in the mixer and is flush so I can't pull it out any suggestions?

I used a straw and glue. Glue the straw to the broken end, carefully, and then push the release and it should come out this way, if I explained it right. Kinda like a potato and broken light bulb idea.
