I use this everyday on my dogs meals for his kidney disease. He loves it, & eats it without any issues what so ever. He has gone from having to pee every 2 hours to being able to hold it like our other 2 dogs. The combination of this sprinkled on his food, and switching to a kidney diet food made all the difference in the world for him. I highly reccomend.

This was recommended by my veterinarian when my GSD was diagnosed with stage 2 kidney disease in April 2025. One year later the disease had not progressed at all, and in fact her levels were slightly better. She is 75 pounds, almost 10 years old, and she gets two capsules sprinkled on her food twice per day. The vet also wanted me to start adding water to her food, so I pour 1/3 cup of warm water on top of the powder. She eats anything, so she never even hesitated to eat this. I can't say for sure that it's the Naraquin that is holding the disease at bay, but as long as her labs keep looking good, she'll keep taking it.

My dog has been taking Naraquin for a year after he was diagnosed with early stage kidney failure. Taking daily capsules in combination with of a change of diet have corrected the kidney concerns. My dog doesn’t love the taste but will happily eat it in combination with other food. He won’t lick up any remaining powder from the capsule so it needs to be mixed in fully for him to eat it all. The cost of this is definitely worth the effectiveness of the product.

My cat has kidney disease. This product was recommended by my vet for my boy. In the past 3 months his values have improved at 1/2 capsules 2 times a day. It was increased to 1 full twice day. Hoping for even better results. It smells awful so don't heat it with good. Add it after.

Great phosphate binder for kidney disease. My cat’s phosphorous levels were rising with his CKD (Middle column in his lab work). He was already on a kidney diet since Jan, so we needed to add in a phosphate binder. Luckily, we found Naraquin! Easy to open capsule - I split it between the morning and evening meals. It did alter the taste of his food so I had to mix it in really well with his wet food and add in either gravy pet topper or fortiflora to cover the taste. But the proof is in the numbers - his phosphorous levels are back to normal and one of his kidney values even improved a little bit!

My vet recommended these for my 14 year old dog who has kidney disease. Along with a special homemade diet that he gets twice a day and this pill twice a day his kidneys are holding steady since his blood work from 3 months ago until the test he just had done the other day. Very happy, will continue to use.

This is about the only medication my dog can take to help with her kidneys! Unfortunately the pill is huge and she is small! On top of that the smell and taste is the worst! She has gotten to the point there is no way she will take it no matter what we do! Why don't they make a pill that is not a horse pill size and one that is tolerated by pets! She may be old but she can still smell just fine! I see others have had the same issue! Do better!! The fact my dog won't take this will probably end her life!

This Naraquin made a significant difference for my older Great Dane. I gave him 1-1/2 tablets each morning (coated in a little peanut butter because of fussy eating habits). Before these, he was walking very carefully and his back legs had started to collapse a little at times, but the Naraquin made a great difference. Within a few days I noticed greater easy with ambulating up and down the stairs going outside and also greater mobility with walking and even running a bit. He seemed to be more comfortable and much more like his old self. I'm not sure about him, but my anxiety sure improved seeing him once Naraquin became a daily regime. Just be sure to check with your dog's Vet beforehand.
