Check the connector
Works fine but came with a different connector so had to change plugs. Other than that works fine

Do not buy
The media could not be loaded. Contactor failed immediately, sticking closed and nearly blowing my starter motor up. Absolutely DO NOT PURCHASE.

Overheats quickly, a generic device, wire it carefully
So many superfluous details and not the most important information. THick copper contacts? Current rating? Open/close test data at *amps? absolutely nothing to indicate any of these data points. One of the main reasons why these relays fail is because of poor contacts, and low current capacity.THe start relay is intended for a quad bike running with a 12VDC electrical system. The relay, nor the box has any branding or markings, so, I'm assuming this is a generic version and hence no technical details are available such as my details above.I decided to test this on a 12VDC power supply to see how it functions before fitting the relay on my old trx300 quad. The old relay had burned out, possibly due to a poor starting engine. I noted that powering the solenoid coil draws about 5 amps, which is not unusual. There was no switching used on the main contacts during this test, however after about 10 seconds feeding the coil with 12V the relay became too hot to hold. It heats up very fast and any longer and I feared it would overheat and burn out.I realise that these are only intended for intermittent use, but if the starting is poor this may increase the time the solenoid is engaged, and possibly cause excess overheating . IN any event, coil heating can reduce lifetime operations and increase oxidation of the solenoid contacts.Attaching and wiring this solenoid requires careful routing of all wires and associated materials to make sure nothing comes into contact with the solenoid body. AS observed the heating can be extreme and cause other materials to overheat if they are in contact with this device.Well, if you are ok with generic components, this maybe ok, if you observe the installation notes above and not overdo the starting times. However, if you fit it and have problems of starting in the future, I would suspect and check this solenoid as a number one check, in case it has failed.

Needed for a quad bike. Quick to fit. Works perfectly
My starter had been playing up and sometimes sticking on. I traced this to a faulty solenoid. This took only a few minutes to fit and the quad is now up and running again perfectly.
