Adaptive Sound Technologies LectroFan Kinder Baby Sleep Machine, White 2.5x1.5x4.8 Inch

I purchased this white noise machine almost 4 years ago, and it’s still going strong—it’s been absolutely perfect for our family. It plugs directly into a wall outlet, which makes it super convenient and cordless, and the companion app is very easy to use. We’ve never had a single issue with it. It comes preloaded with a variety of white noise sounds, calming sleep music for kids, and even has a nightlight feature with multiple color and brightness options. It’s great not only for nap and bedtime but also adds a fun vibe during playtime. You can also use it with the light off if you prefer complete darkness. It’s lightweight and easy to travel with, making it a favorite in our home and on the go. I’ve recommended it to so many friends who’ve asked about it—it’s truly a gem. It’s sad that it’s been discontinued. I really hope they bring it back because I’d love to buy more as gifts. Highly recommend if you can still get your hands on one!

As a Nanny and a Newborn Care Specialist, I have been exposed to dozens of different sound machines. Each has its pros and cons, but this one has no negatives, in my opinion. My favorite feature is the no-looping! If you have had to listen to a sound machine with a looped noise for any length of time, you will begin to hear what sounds like alien chanting, or repetitive phrases that sound rather creepy coming through a baby monitor. My second favorite feature is that it plugs directly into the outlet-- NO CORDS dangling, easily portable in a diaper bag for travel or visiting Grandma's, simply moveable from one room to another. Check this out-- 70 sound variations!! As a career NCS, I've always used white noise. But did you know there are variations of white noise? And that there is pink noise, brown noise? The night light can be any variety of colors, but I stick with red. Red light promotes melatonin production. When one is sleep training infants, red is one's choice of color. Now, about the app... No need to sneak through a squeaky door to control the sound machine's power, volume, light, or choice of sound. Simply pull out your mobile and make the adjustments without disturbing baby! Trust me, when you finally get baby to sleep, tiptoe out of the room, slowly shut that squeaky door, and realize you forgot to turn on the sound machine, you will breathe a great sigh of relief as you remember you do not have to sneak back into the room to turn it on. After years of becoming familiar with several white noise machines, the LectroFan Kinder is the one we chose for our home, for our grandchildren, and I confess, for myself. When I work overnights, I need to sleep during the day with my two yr old grandson playing outside my bedroom door (since the master is off of the family room). The Lectro Fan Kinder is loud enough to drown out even that!

My sleep quality has greatly improved. I live on a loud and busy street. The dark brown noise drowns it all out. The volume goes from very soft to quite loud. I use the loudest setting so am glad for thd volume. The app is easy and nice to use, though I wish it were even more streamlined so that the moment I open it I can select my last setting. As is, I need to select the device, then can turn it on. I guess that's nice for people who have more than one. I like that I can turn on and off the device from the app or the actual device. There's lots of sound options. Overalp, very happy with this product.

Pros: It has a lot of different type sounds and some music! It can be all adjusted with the app. Saves some settings. Has a light. It’s small and plugs right into an outlet. The sound quality is good for the size that it is. It’s clear and crisp sounding. I think kids would like it. Adults may not use all the various choices. It could work in an office or work area, not just for kids or bedrooms. Cons: Needs to work with a phone, have to re-connect to Bluetooth. I don’t care for any but 2-3 of the sounds. Rain is nice. Many of the white noise sounds are really sharp or irritating. I like “dark brown noise” the best. The sound machine has a digital sound, versus some of the classic fan type noise machines. I’ve been using it every night for months and I have no issues with it.

I want to love this sounds machine but it fails in some areas. Pros: Lots of sound options with good quality. It can get plenty loud enough. I like that it plugs directly into the outlet. And the night light options are good. Fair price as well. Cons: I feel the app could be a lot better and with better connectivity (I have a had time connecting a lot). Lately when we press the button on the machine itself to turn it on or off, the button doesn’t seem to work so we have to press it ten or more times then it will finally turn on (and given the connectivity issues, I at least need this button to work!). UPDATE: during the previous review I noted connectivity issues. Well this has never gotten better and now the app no longer works! The machine itself only has the on / off button so without the app I am left with basically nothing. This now feels like a waste of money and I wish I could return it for a refund and get a second Hatch Baby.

My husband and I were looking for a white noise machine as we can't sleep without background noise, and I came across Adaptive Sound Technologies and their products. I chose LectroFan Kinder for its portability which means we can take it on vacations with us :). I read reviews, and most of them were great but some people had issues with the app connectivity. I figured it wasn't going to happen to me or so I was hoping anyway. Well, it did happen and I, too, experienced the same problem where after a while I couldn't use the app to change settings or to turn the machine on/off. I followed several suggestions I found online but they did not work for me. I finally restarted my Android (Samsung Galaxy S8+) phone, and the app was working again. I did contact the company afterward and was told all I needed to do was switch the Bluetooth on my phone off and back on, but my method worked as well :). I also found out that the app and LectroFan itself work together via Bluetooth and not Wi-Fi, so you have to be within relatively close proximity (same room) to be able to use it. As long as the app works, I absolutely LOVE this little gem! I don't use the light, but the sound selection, quality, and volume are great. Highly recommend!

I was so excited to stumble upon this product that I bought it immediately. We take our kids lots of places (shore house, grandparents’ houses, etc) and was thrilled to not have to always unplug their bulky noise machine for over night stays. I love that it has a nightlight and but hate that it hardly ever connects to the app on my phone so settings are impossible to change. I could be standing next to it and it will STILL FAIL to connect. Frustrating. Update — the company reached out to me a day or so after sharing the above review and after a brief phone call to use mover some troubleshooting options, they sent me a new unit without question. I will update this review again in few weeks after I receive and set up the replacement. Because of the excellent customer service, I am changing my review from 2 stars to 3 stars. Update — unfortunately, the replacement unit the company sent me is having the same issues (will only connect to app if I’m in the same room). I will be reaching out to the company this week and requesting a refund and am bumping my review down to 1 star because neither device has worked correctly. Update — purchased this item 07/18 and it is now 2/19. Item has stopped connecting to the app all together and is now useless because I can not adjust the volume (currently too low) or the light brightness (currently too high). My final review is that this was really cool mans useful for a little bit while it worked, but the units don’t seem to work for very long.

I purchased the Lectrofan Kinder in 2018 when my daughter was 4 months old and we have used it every day since! It provides a nice variety of sleep sounds and nightlight options for her. You can control it on your phone from outside of the room. I've never had an issue with it in the 7+ YEARS that we've had it! It's easy to pack up for vacations when we're staying in a hotel or rental home and it makes her feel more comfortable and relaxed wherever she is sleeping. I added it to my pack list recently and that is what made me think to leave a review 7 years later. It's so reliable!

Convenient, easy to use with many sounds to choose from.

LOVE this. I keep watching for it to be back in stock to get another now that baby is in his own room and took it with him! Won’t connect from far away, but from the next room/outside the bedroom door it is perfect. Maybe 20-25 ft for range. I found that once i found the setting we liked I never need to connect anyway. Just turn it on and off from the unit. Takes no space and the added nightlight is a huge bonus too. Very impressed

Loved it! It’s very customizable and the night light helps when the baby wakes up during the night. I increase the brightness so I can see but it’s dim enough that my baby isn’t fully woken up by the light

Love it 95% of the time Every once in awhile it doesn’t want to connect to the phone to change a setting. Love the colour choices, different brightness settings. Lullabies, so many different sound choices and so small and compact it’s easy to travel with.

You cannot connect to the device on the app even when you’re in the same room! And the functionality of the app is super annoying. You cannot change the settings of the particular preset (ie lower the volume in advance) unless you turn on the preset first. Not good if you’re trying to avoid waking a baby with an abrupt sound
