The Noble Collection Lord of The Rings Map of Middle Earth Puzzle

The puzzle looks great; I plan to glue and hang on the wall.This is probably the most challenging 1000 piece puzzle I’ve done, with many similar pieces. However, it is also precision made and each piece does have a specific place, you just need to take your time and confirm the edges are a true match and don’t just “fit”. The final product is worth the challenge though especially if you plan to display it.There was a missing piece (it happens) but customer service was great. They sent a replacement puzzle right away and the piece from the new puzzle fit perfectly.

I bought it as a Christmas gift for someone that I didn't know. Had info that he was interested in Lord of the Rings and without me not knowing what he already had, I felt this was unique enough to fit his interest and he probably didn't have it.

Don't be intimidated by the comments - it has great quality with great design. You gotta be patient to see the subtle hints. It was very enjoyable. Highly recommend.

Wish I had read these review first. I've done hundreds of challenging puzzles but this one is on the verge of not worth the effort. Only a few different cuts so just about every piece will fit and look correct and due to the nature of the puzzle each piece is very similar in color. Add to that the fact that even if you do happen to find 2 pieces that fit together and are correct they are very loose it makes this just about impossible. I've spent several hours and haven't even begun to put the border together. If the border is this ridiculous I probably won't ever bother with finishing. Disappointed.

The media could not be loaded. Love the idea of a map of Middle Earth puzzle but this was poorly executed due to the black border with far too similar pieces and the small, hard to read text. The enclosed small photo doesn't help much, primarily due to its size.Please see my video review for more info. I am not going to finish it because I am not enjoying it anymore. So what you see in my video is as far as it is going to get.

This puzzle, unlike most jigsaw puzzles, does not come with an adequate guide picture. The image on the box is not viable as a guide. The guide included inside is very small and hard to use. I resorted to a magnifying glass. I searched online and found comparable images of the puzzle art but, when printed, the resolution of the graphics were poor.The puzzle is made with quality materials. The pieces are cut with fine precision but this turns out to be a flaw. This means that the pieces do not interlock firmly. I bumped the puzzle a couple of times when testing whether a piece fit and dislodged 30-40 pieces at a time. I ended up assembling the “easiest” 60% of the puzzle then returned it to the box.

Hubby put this together in a couple days. Loved it so much he glued it and framed it!

I didn't listen to the other reviews. Every piece is the exact same shape, so unless you're working on a word or the compass, its really impossible to know if you've put pieces together right or not since they all connect together. I tried what one reviewer suggested and worked on the border first. Let's just say it had been sitting on our coffee table for 6 months. It is such a cool print, design and quality picture on the pieces, but being so frustrated to the point of not doing it defeats the whole purpose. There is hard then there is impossible. We aren't quitters but this is starting to look like one we may have to give up on.
