I spent hours looking around understanding the specs checking prices looking at everything. This has been the best air conditioner I have ever purchased this is actually my second unit. The pricing might be a little bit on the higher side but you're buying something that a. Is going to last a while and b. You're not going to see your energy bill jump. Always in the past when it's hot in a room you turn on the AC fire it up to Max and you let it run and then you got to constantly change it not this unit. I turned it on I put it in eco mode I put the fan on low so it's very quiet and I'd say within 5 to 10 minutes I have a semi open room that's probably 40x12 that cooled off and stayed cool without constantly running the AC eco mode low fan was perfect I also like the fact that the air pulls in not from just the front like other air conditioners but it actually pulls in from the bottom and the sides of the unit. The ER ror flow out is adjustable up and down left and right with much more directional capability than any other air conditioner. This is definitely worth the value for the money. And it's actually nice cuz the remote control comes with a little Mount that you can mount on your wall if you want. I can't speak to the installation purposes so much because I actually built a permanent Mount outside my window to hold it up and just sealed it in plexiglass and foam so that I didn't have to take it in and out

This unit has the capability of doing a huge area. The 3 fan speeds dictate how much you need or want to cool. The F1 speed is whisper quiet and even with it right in back of me as I'm watching tv it does not interfere. F2 and F3 can be a bit noisier than I like but in trade, it's doing the job well. My Great Pyreneese gives it five stars. She lays in front of it curled up like a big pillow. Overall, I am happy with my purchase. It's heavy at almost 100 pounds and generally requires a tow man lift unless you can lift that kind of weight. I highly recommend the unit. I can only imagine the job it would do in an apartment. Update: We have no used this unti two years and find it the best a/c unit we have ever purchased. Wifi capable. 3 fan speeds. Speed 1 you can't hear it doing a nice job.. Speed 2 and 3 not as noisy as some of the others. It does not sound like blower like my GE in my bedroom does. This unit is eceptional in every way. It keeps the entire lower level of our 2500 sf colonial nice and cool. Loves humidity.. The more humidity, the better it cools..

I expect to install a window A/C unit. I do NOT expect to have to fully assemble the thing. Like physically pull the A/C body out of the housing to setup. Between the cheap plastic clips that do not fit where they should clip in, curtains that don't line up, screw holes too small, not too mention the damaged fins on the ac unit makes this probably the biggest waste of $600 I've personally thrown away.

This was a gift to a family member who found it easy to install, although even though he's a big, strong guy, he did need help lifting it in. Lord knows why, but I hadn't read the reviews on here until AFTER ordering it - and due to the negativity, tried to cancel, but the unit had shipped, and in the end, I'm glad it had, as it's worked out nicely and he's very pleased with it.

Cools well. The unit is whisper quiet in low mode. In medium mode I thought the LG made a slight “whoppa whoppa” helicopter-y sound and a slight electronic whine. I didn’t like this, but I use the unit mostly on the low setting. Also, as shown in the pic, the pan of the LG started rusting after only two weeks. Not sure if this is going to cause a problem.

Very efficient window Ac unit. Cools down my bedroom and common spaces easily. Unit is quiet in comparison to other units I’ve used. App was easy to install plus is easy to use.

These are great in theory but leave a lot to be desired. And unfortunately, I've already bought 5 of them and installed them all. It's baffling to me that LG can't figure out how to measure room temperature. On all five units, it measures 2 to 4 degrees lower than actual room temp. So I have to set the temperature to around 68 if I want 71. I have these in an AirBnB so now I need to attach a label to them. I'm sure it is measuring intake air, so I've put several different temperature sensors near the intake vent and I'm confident these units consistently measure low. The "smart" features leave a lot to be desired. LG ThinQ is extremely light in functionality and offers no 3rd party support or API access. These are only smart in so far as you can set the temp via WiFi. I've confirmed what another reviewer mentions that it sometimes gets stuck in low power mode and will not trigger high power even when ten degrees above set point. A power cycle fixes this, but this alone is a deal breaker for me. Completely defeats the purpose of a dual inverter, and likely turns your 12000 BTU unit into one that is stuck at 6000. And lastly, just a minor gripe. If it has a dry mode, why not include a humidity sensor? It would have also been nice to see graphs over time with temperature and set point, like an Ecobee offers. My 2 star rating takes into account that these sell for a premium price. If this were a $200 unit, I would give it 4 stars and dock one for the fact that it can't measure temperature properly.

I bought this a year ago may. It replaced an AC unit that was in my house 30 years ago when I bought the place. This unit is super quiet and the 12000 btu cools the 12 x 16 room its in pulse the adjacent dining room 12 x 12 with very little effort. With a fan in the hallway it helps the bedrooms a fair bit. Not bad for $500. I rarely put it on the 2nd setting. Hope it lasts as long as the other one.

Recieved a damaged unit. Seller gave me half a refund and claimed they added a $660 "restocking fee". Thankfully the A to Z guarantee got me my money back. The unit itself was quiet and worked well even with the damage but is very heavy. I reccommend buying this unit from a different seller if you dont want any issues

I have purchased 3 of these units. All 3 came with the fins damaged . 2 were usable 1 was only able to be ran on low , any fan speed higher than that sounded like a train . They did take it back but had a restocking fee of 27%.

Air conditioner arrived with the front heat exchanger fins bent over. The kit to fill in beside the opening was placed against the heat exchanger in the factory box. Not impressed
