I absolutely loved this book. I bought it to try and educate my 6 nearly 7 year old on the world of art and I thought maybe I would learn something too. I have to say I am pretty uncultured but took my son to the Tate Modern recently and didn't have a clue what was going on so thought I needed to learn more. The book is written in large font with easier words for a 6-7 year to read if you would like as most of the words are fairly straight forward. The thing I love about the book is there are lots of photos of Picassos work in the book and the book asks questions that make you think about each piece. I can't recommend it highly enough. The book itself is pretty short and a little flimsy but thats fine with me as I felt I learnt a lot and my son really did too.

Lovely book, my 7 year old loves reading it and telling us about it.

Really good series of books with enough information to inform but not bore, pictures give a good idea of main works of the artist. Perfect for under 11s, good starting point for older students.
