These are surprisingly fun to draw with. They're a bit messier than Watercolours but I find that quite charming. They're definitely very vibrant too and very creamy.

LOVE THESE! Vibrant colours and very workable. Use as a crayon to fill areas then apply water to spread the pigment. Colours blend together nicely to create lovely textured effects.

I saw someone on YouTube using these water soluble crayons and I just had to have them. They are absolutely brilliant, but you have to pay for the Swiss quality as they don't come cheap. This is a good starter set, but soon you'll find you really need more colours, especially if you need skin tone for portraits. I'm thinking of buying the bigger set if I could just get myself to shell out £30. They're worth the money though as they last a long time. The colours are brilliant and easy to blend. They are truly water soluble. Just use as regular crayons, then go over it with a wet brush and watch the magic unfold as it turn into watercolour paint. The colours are nice and strong. I really love these! I wish I had the money to buy the biggest set, but I can't justify it as I'm not an artist, though now I wish I was!

Nor really crayons, as we know as children. Intense colours, soft and blendable. I take this tiny tin out to sketch with a pot of water and my sketch is turned into a watercolour. Genius and so easy to use.

These were brought for an art course where we learnt to wet the entire crayon to intensify the colour. Nice to use although messy when wet! Good selection of colours and recommended for mixed media work

Ich habe lange gebraucht, um endlich dieses Produkt auszuprobieren. Ich bin schon ein Fan von Caran d‘Ache, aber Wachsstifte für diesen Preis hielt ich für eine dumme Investition. Doch gestern habe mir endlich dieses kleine Set bestellt, eher spontan, um damit einwenig rumzuspielen. Das Päckchen kam gerade an und ich habe sie erst nur kurz ausprobiert, aber bin jetzt schon begeistert. Die Farben sind satt gleich nach dem Auftragen und werden heller durch Wasserzufuhr, was sie gleich in Aquarell verwandelt. Das Zeichnen damit ist leicht cremig, weil die Stifte so weich sind und die sind sehr sparsam. Das Metallkästchen ist flach und leicht zu öffnen, aber schließt dicht, was sehr gut ist, da ich es mitnehmen werde. Im Kästchen gibt es eine Schaumanlage, damit die Stifte beim Tragen nicht kaputt gehen (die Spitzen). Und ich mag die Ummantelung, die kann man sehr leicht abziehen, nach und nach (das 2. Foto). Jetzt werde ich erst mit diesem Set einwenig zeichnen und dabei überlegen, wie groß mein nächstes Set sein wird. Dass ich wieder die Neocolors kaufe steht schon fest. Das einzige negative: ich hätte diese Stifte schon früher kaufen sollen. Die sind eine Bereicherung. Danke an Caran d‘Ache 🥰 PS: auf dem ersten Foto ist das Papier sehr billig und nicht für Aquarell geeignet, trotzdem sieht das Produkt gut drauf aus

You must have read my Mungyo oil pastel review. These two I bought together as I was experimenting with water soluble crayons. Caran Dache is an amazing brand and the packaging itself is so perfect. The box is of 10 water soluble wax crayons. And yes it looks really small, BUT It's gorgeous to work with. I mix My Mungyo. Oil pastels and my neocolours II. Try it out.

Love all the different ways these can be used. So versatile, wet or dry. Highly pigmented. Super smooth. Bright colors. Great for mixed media. Great for any level of artist. Worth every penny.
