Liberty Garden 712-B Single Arm Navigator Multi-Directional Garden Hose Reel, Holds 125-Feet of, 5/8-Inch, Black

Love it! It’s simple and elegant and most of all very functional. I mounted it on my wall and it’s very sturdy. Took about 20 min to install (after I located the stud behind my stucco exterior wall🙄). I have 100’ of 3/4” hose and it fits perfect. I wouldn’t be able to fit any more than that even though it says it can fit 125’. The swivel rotates nicely with the hose in place, not too sloppy or too tight. It does not come with any mounting hardware so you’ll need to supply that. I had some spare 1/4” lag screws so that didn’t bother me. The hose does kink where it’s connected to the reel so I recommend a small hoses extension to remedy the kink. Overall this way ahead of anything else out there and I love that the hoses is not on the ground.

Very high quality. Love the black and how it looks. We were able to get the hose of the ground and now it neatly stows away when not in use but so easy to pull out quickly and roll up quickly!! I mounted it to a 4 x 4 post which the post took a little bit or work but well worth it. Very solid installation. Great product!!!

I was replacing a 16 yo plastic reel that worked well until the inner o-rings started leaking. The Liberty 712-B metal reel was on sale for $79, decided to upgrade. Pros: -Heavy gauge metal used for most parts -Inlet fitting is metal tube with brass coupler / hose coupler also metal -Reel handle is cushioned, non-slip and rotates -Holds my 100' Zero-G hose with room to spare -Having reel and hose quick disconnect for winter storage is good Cons: -Angle and position of reel hose connector causes kink in hose no matter how it is wound, reducing flow -Narrow wall mounting bracket/screws allows a lot of flex when winding with reel at 90° -Reel can move around on shaft and rub rim of reel on U bracket - paint already rubbed off in areas exposing metal to rust.

From all the reviews I read this looked like the mounted hose reel to go with. Just finished installing it. The instructions were clear and it was easy & straight forward to assemble. They don’t provide the mounting screws or bolts (but do suggest the size I believe). The reel is well built/sturdy. With the weight of the reel & the hose you want to be sure it’s solidly affixed. I have a 100’ hose & it can certainly accommodate more. Like the ease of redirecting the direction of the hose and the hand crank works well.

Dry nice hose reel! We mounted it to a 4x4 with some galvanized lag screws and it functions perfectly all while looking very nice in our yard. I expect to get many years of use out of it as it is made with solid materials and all brass water connections. The 360 swivel makes pulling out the hose and winding it up a breeze!

The overall construction is very solid and it appears to be very excellent quality. It is powder coated steel apparently. The only concern long-term is rust if there are scratches, but you can touch it up with automotive paint as they mentioned. It's just a matte black finish. When I received it it was in immaculate condition, no scratches, dings or issues whatsoever and the packaging was excellent. The installation was very straightforward. A couple of bolts to mount the bracket, hook the hose mechanism on and put in the final two bolts. It doesn't come with the hardware for mounting the bracket to your fence or post so keep that in mind, depending on where you're mounting it. In terms of use, it unwinds freely with little to no resistance, much better than the plastic fence mounted solution I had before. The swivel mechanism works well, eliminating resistance when you are pulling at angles. There are no sharp edges. I read a previous review where someone mentioned that, but I don't see it as a concern. When you are winding the hose up there is no hose guide so you basically use your hand, but it's not a big deal because it's very easy to do. It also winds up quickly and easily, particularly if you lock the mechanism at the top disabling the swivel. That does make it easier to wind up. When I hooked it up not a single leak and the fact that the connection for the hose is also steel is impressive. That's often the first thing to break or leak on those plastic hose reels. The hook on basket is a great addition as well. Perfect for storing brushes, gloves, garden tools, etc. As per the manufacturer claims it allows 125 ft of 5/8-in hose, but you'd be hard pressed to get 125 ft of hose on the reel. Mine is 100 ft and it just fits. 125 ft would be too much in my opinion. With regards to storage, it's just a matter of unwinding your hose, removing two bolts and unhooking the mechanism. Very easy for winter storage. Overall, I can definitely recommend it if you're looking for a long-term hose reel replacement. No genuine complaints. Infinitely better than the plastic junk they sell in local retailers.

Il prodotto è molto bello e pratico una volta montato; il montaggio semplice; il materiale sembra robusto, anche se bisognerà vedere nel tempo se arrugginisce (il produttore consiglia di riporlo in un contenitore d'inverno, cosa ovviamente non fattibile, ma tale consiglio fa pensare che non resista alla ruggine). Dunque tutto ok, tranne una cosa fondamentale: il bocchettone di innesto interno con il tubo che, a parte la sua collocazione troppo aderente al cestello al punto di ostacolare seriamente l'aggancio con il raccordo, nel mio caso presenta un filetto difettoso, che rende difficilissimo se non impossibile il fissaggio del raccordo. Dopo aver impiegato 10 minuti a montarlo e 2 ore a cercare di agganciare il tubo con una dozzina di raccordi diversi, sono riuscito a malapena a fissarlo nei primi due giri del filetto.... questa precarietà non mi farà stare tranquillo e non era certo il risultato che mi prefiggevo.

Easy to assemble, solid wall mounting is an absolute must. After just three days of rain, rust was visible. Here in Spain, no suitable connectors were available, and the included hose... was too short! I'm afraid it won't last long here in Spain due to the abundant sunshine and high summer temperatures.

There are useful reviews of a similar reel on the Liberty 712 listing. Using this reel in the UK is a bit tricky, because US and UK standards for threads are not the same. The lead hose connects to my faucet ok, but connecting the hose onto the reel needs an adapter. The fitting you need is a 3/4" GHT female one. After a bit of trial and error, I bought a 3/4" GHT female to Hozelock adapter from another online marketplace. I thought that would be perfect, except it was female Hozelock, and I needed male Hozelock, so then I also needed a female-to-female Hozelock connector. With both of those, things are working well. I would have deducted more stars, except the reel is very attractive and the reeling action works beautifully.
