I need to do 4 wheels, how many wheels will one can do?

I would buy two cans for four wheels. I used two coats of silver for each wheel. Two coats primer then two of silver followed by two coats lacquer. Make sure to use wet and dry after primer to make the surface nice and flat for top coats. Good finish and coverage.

is this product suitable for diamond cut alloy wheels?

I used mine on VW Passat Diamond Cuts. Diamond Cuts have a thick plastic coating to protect the alloy. If the coating gets damaged it discolours badly and allows the alloy to corrode. I sanded the plastic coating down with a flapwheel - 60 grade (the alloy didn’t actually too bad!), hand sanded with wet & dry (400 then 1500 grade). Primed with self etching primer, 3 coats of silver then 3 coats of clear lacquer. Needed 2 tins of each to do all 4 wheels.Paul
