Are the stickers that come with the game of a similar quality, or are these stickers easier to remove?

These are vinyl and re-usable, you can peel them on and off the game board map to re-use. Whereas the ones that come with Gloomhaven are standard paper stickers meant for one-time use.

Is this the set made by Sinister Fish?

It is and I STRONGLY suggest you order from Sinister Fish or at least ANYONE BUT This retailer (Brooklyn Toys). BT is a shady dealer that is intentionally mishandling their Gloomhaven pre-orders to intentionally screw customers. Go search Boardgame Geek’s forums for Gloomhaven and Brooklyn Toys to see what’s happening with the Gloomhaven Release. Find a reputable dealer for this, DO NOT buy from this retailer.

Are these stickers even necessary if you have the room to leave the board set up all the time?

Step 1: acquire sturdy backing material (cardboard, cardstock, etc...) or even just regular paper if you don't care. Step 2: attach stickers Step 3: cut out stickers with attached backing You now have tokens instead of stickers that can be used again and again. Buy the removable sticker set from the designers website (much cheaper, like $11) if you want to reseal boxes/envelopes. I would recommend, however, designing your own (pretty cheap to do) with a space to somehow mark if the box or envelope it is attached to is open or sealed, and use dry/wet erase marker to keep track.

Are these stickers for the 1st or the 2nd edition of the game?

I bought for second edition, they work for both.
