Purchased this item for a theatrical stage prop. It performed well. Web thread diameter was a little too thin for the distance involved. A thicker thread would have better suited my needs but for a room decoration it would have been fine. The shape of the net is a 5 foot by 15 foot rectangle and for our production we needed a 10 foot by 10 foot square so we bought 2 to trim and splice. This worked great! As for durability, it held up well as a stage prop so as a decoration it should be fine, unless someone tried to climb up it or takes it out to the river and tries to actually catch some fish with it! The unbleached natural fiber of the net looks ok, but if you want make it look like an old, used fishing net, you will need to distress it yourself.

Honestly, I was disappointed in the nets when I received them, they look more substantial in the pictures. I did find a use for them, just not what I intended. Know that the openings are very big, the net is very flimsy, depending on your intended use. I decided to use them on top of my black tablecloths

have used them multiple times at different pirate themed events. Super easy to throw up on a wall or hang between two items and instantly gives a sea vibe.
