Their 24/7 customer support is outstanding—whenever I have a question, I can always get in touch with someone. Over the years, I've enjoyed the new features introduced through OTA updates, which have been fantastic. Now, I've decided it was time to upgrade to the newer generation that includes a video doorbell. Here's what I love about the product and the brand:Easy to Install: Lockly has made significant improvements in packaging and instructions. There are plenty of helpful videos on YouTube and their website. My 10-year-old daughter and I set it up in just 30 minutes.All-in-One Solution: The main reason for my upgrade was the need for a video doorbell. Instead of juggling multiple apps and devices from different brands, I opted for this integrated solution. What's great is that there are no subscription fees, and it includes an SD card and two battery packs. They really have thought of everything, saving me time and money in the long run.Truly Accessible Anytime, Anywhere: I feel much more secure with the video doorbell feature. It offers two-way audio, allowing me to talk to my daughter the minute she gets home—simply amazing! I can also provide one-time access codes to my dog walker when I'm away and monitor when they arrive and leave, no matter where I am. It truly gives me peace of mind.Exceptional Customer Service: As mentioned, Lockly offers the best in class support. I've reached out a few times, and each time, I received prompt responses and quick resolutions to my issues. They also helped me and showed me how to remove my previous lock without damaging my wood doors.Overall, I'm very pleased with this new smart lock with a video doorbell camera. I'm a big supporter and have recommended Lockly to others. While I've read some reviews about connectivity issues, I haven't experienced any myself; these could also be related to router configurations or other external factors.

We’ve had nothing but frustration with our Lockly smart lock. From the start, the design felt clunky—the screen won’t even turn on unless you wave your hand over it, which sounds cool in theory but is a daily annoyance in practice. The beeping that’s supposed to alert you when the door isn’t closed properly is completely unreliable—it goes off randomly and becomes a constant irritation, even when the door is shut.The battery life is poor, and it requires eight AA batteries to replace each time—which adds up quickly in cost and effort. Unlocking the door is not intuitive, and guests have consistently struggled with it, making it a poor fit for any type of rental property or shared use.To top it off, customer service was unhelpful when we reached out. Because we didn’t install it right away after purchasing, they refused to honor the warranty—even though the product was essentially brand new.In short: we don’t recommend this lock. It’s high maintenance, confusing to use, and not supported by a company willing to stand behind its product.
