Excellent hoist and materials. If you’ve ever put up another similar hoist like a bike one this is slightly more complicated but nothing that won’t make sense. I found the instructions pretty clear with that knowledge. Took me about 30 min to put up. Again, I’ve installed 5 bike hoists twice and have a working knowledge of how they go up and how far apart to space them. It’s pretty cleverly designed. I used this on a Yakima Skybox 18 that’s nearly 96” long and it hoists it just fine. I don’t know that my wife could pull it up as it does require some muscle at that heft. I don’t need a 3 pulley hoist for this box since it’s not that heavy, just long. The two straps stay secure. I like the fact that the strap buckle is quality metal, the straps are made out of seat belt material (just thinner), and the buckles have a silicone sleeve so it won’t scratch whatever it’s holding and it has a holder for the excess strap. Great quality for the price. Would buy again.

Read the instructions throroughtly and follow them, it will save you time. Overall the product was excellent, let’s see how it holds up over time.

Overall the product is as described but it does feel cheap, especially the rope. I personally wouldn’t trust having my roof box suspended over my car with just the supplied rope. Some other reviews stated that their rope broke sending the box all the way down. The company should supply either a stronger rope or additional straps with hooks for additional support. This is what I ended up doing with mine. I only use the hoist system for raising and lowering the box. When raised up, I use additional straps for extra support. See pictures. At least now I can sleep at night not worrying about the box dropping on my car 😀. The straps also allow me to raise the box all the way to the ceiling which gives me extra head room.

Just installed this today for my 63" long x 38" wide SportRack Vista XL cargo box. It mounted neatly on one 1/2 of the 16-ft wide garage on my 12-ft ceiling, in between the garage door opener and the left door rail above my Subaru Outback. It's smooth operation, seems solid and the weight of my cargo box is waaaaay under the max load of the pulley/rope system. It took me approx 2 hours by myself (12-ft ladder needed) and is slightly different than the ceiling mount bike rack that I installed a few years ago, but similar concept. Instructions were clear and I slowed down and studied the details along the way to ensure that I wouldn't have to go back and re-do anything once up. Patience is a virtue - Ha! Once installed with my cargo rack load, I then went back and forth a few times of pulling up/lowering down on my vehicle to get the strap adjustments just right, then trimmed all straps and rope for the final step. I'm quite happy with this and it solved several problems for me in my tightly packed garage. The garage is large and "finished" but there's a lot of necessary stuff in there, including 2 vehicles. Def recommend you buy this if you're looking for storage of your cargo top.

The whole pulley system is really robust and the instructions are very easy to follow. Me and my dad put this up in about an hour with some tweaking afterwards. It needs about 2 feet of space from top to bottom with the stretch that is in the straps. Looks great and tucks up neatly in my garage. While it can sway side to side overall it’s very stable and strong. Great price for what comes in the box. The rooftop tent I have is about 73x56 and weighs 130 lbs. The only things I would change are for heavier loads, there needs to be a way to slowly let the items down without the break engaging. And possibly a way to keep both ends level without much input from the user. Other than that no issues.

Works great for my Roof box and was a great value. Installation guide was easy to follow. Just make sure to place your rope in the right spots. (Yakima Skybox 16)

It was pretty simple to assemble and has quality parts. A good hoist for my cargo box. Highly recommend.

Followed the directions to a T, and yet the rope broke with 40lb load on first hoist. Not sure if cheap rope or if I continued to pull after it was already seated but beyond that, water I did, I was intentionally trying to be gentle and it still snapped on me… YMMV

Die Montage ging sehr leicht (vorausgesetzt man kann eine Bohrmaschine bedienen). Die Schwierigkeit ist vergleichbar mit der Montage einer Deckenlampe. Wenn man das kann, ist dieser Lift kein Problem. Ich bin sehr zufrieden und würde das Produkt sofort wieder kaufen!

Really good product. Bought to store a roof box in my garage. Straight forward to assemble using instructions and or the YouTube video. Cost effective. Would recommend.

This made life so easy, setup is simple, enables me to load and unload cargo box with ease. Mounts are sturdy, instructions are great. My ceiling is 10.5’, I had selected the higher option but later realized I have way more rope than necessary. If you’re close or on the edge between the two lengths, maybe go shorter. The brackets are nice and shallow, I managed to tuck the cargo box ABOVE the open garage door. I need to buy another one ASAP for the other vehicle in the garage - but will order shorter rope length!
