These mesh covers are great for my DIY rain barrel setup. They keep out leaves, bugs, and all the stuff I don’t want while still holding up really well to heavy rainfall. Now I can collect plenty of clean water to keep my garden thriving. Simple but works exactly like it should.

I get these to keep leaves, mosquitoes and other bugs out of my rainwater. It works but over time it does deteriorate so this time I got more than one. It is easy to install, just open it and use the toggle to close it up around the water receptacle. The size will fit something smaller as well as wider, square, circular etc because of the drawstring’s closure. The quality is pretty good. It’s pliable and sewn together well. To get as many as I did for the price was a definite awesome value!! I have several water barrels but I’m only using one right now. It’s always good to have extra in hand so you don’t have to go without until they arrive. Will definitely get more of these in the future!

They’re pretty sturdy. Because I’m a stickler when it comes to biosecurity, I fold this in half and put it under the screw top of my 55 gallon water barrel, then I use a second one over the whole top, so debris and wild bird poop can’t collect in the screw top. My chicken water remains fresh, odor free, and completely mosquito free. After a couple years you’ll need to replace the second mesh cover because it’s loose and eventually the wind will wear it out, but the mesh cover you put under your screw top will stay protected and intact. I haven’t taken any pictures of my finished set up, but here’s a picture of the 55 gallon barrel I’m talking about, so you can see what I mean by “screw top”.

These are perfect for our rain barrels by our greenhouse. They have to be pulled down on the sides of the barrels but are ideal to prevent mosquitos from laying eggs in the water. If you are careful with them they will last more than 1 season.

Easy-to-use mesh cover for my rain barrel, keeps debris and bugs out. Easy to tighten up to stay on the top. I like the fact it comes as a pack of two; the mesh is fine, and I like having a backup for when it eventually gets a hole or tear.

Dead simple, probably could have made my own, but paying for the convenience and fast shipping is worth it in its own right.
