Alright so I just finishedddddddddSo officially. I really really love the book. I spent the entire night reading this novel. At first, I was doubtful since the beginning was a bit slow but then I was drawn into it and OMG... I could not stop reading. A well-described environment and a wonderful plot with few twists. I really like the atmosphere, I like the historical nuances and the romance, the action, I think it's really well balanced.It actually caters to one of my biggest pet peeves in storytelling, which is a non-linear description of events and characters... So like, reading three chapters in a row that kinda seemed like separated stories, but then they all fit together and combine into one big world, I love it!! and the periodic flashbacks of Violet to the Acton couple, it's so nice! In the beginning, I was thinking it's kinda straightforward, "happy couple had an only daughter" but then the story deepens and it's amazing!!!Thank you for a wonderful white night Gabriela!

This book wont leave you close it once you open it. You will read about the strong romance that rises between Thomas and Lady Catherine, despite the difficulties implied by social status differences in a conservative environment. It will be about honesty, love of course , steamy hot moments , betrayal, pirates and smugglers... You will be surprised. You will also be amazed. The author will take you by the hand across this beautiful journey, and will make you feel a various range of emotions from start to finish. The descriptions are beautiful, especially the descriptions of the characters's mindsets and feelings. This novel puts emphasis on beauty, respect , and love with a big L.

This book is a bodice tearing tale of love and deception the pages turn themselves as the reader is drawn into this fantastic tale of forbidden love. The authors descriptive prose draws the reader in as we take a journey of love and adventure from the peaks of France to the Highlands of Scotland. This is a must read novel by a fantastic new young author who is destined for great things. If you only read one book this year make sure this is the book you read
