Burns Pet Weight Control Complete Dry Adult and Senior Dog Food Chicken, 7.5 kg

This worked for a senior slightly overweight springer who now lives with us. I switched her to Burns as I had cats previously who thrived on this brand. After two months with the Weight control bag she was at her ideal weight and it seems to have agreed with her and our vet confirmed he is happy with her condition and general health. She also seems to have more energy. However we did notice she would eat other dog or cat poop if not watched carefully and the opportunity arose, but it may have been something she did before we had her. She has now been on the lamb adult for a month and her weight seems stable. Either we are more vigilant or she doesn't feel the need, but there haven't been any more poop eating episodes too :).

I have 2 miniature schnauzers, they are prone to weight gain, they are both near 4 years old and have always been fed Burns, they love all the different flavours but every so often I replace their original Burns with this weight control one, seems to be working out well and keeping them slim. I also add a bit of chicken and veg, carrots sticks etc but I slightly reduced the amount of kibble to allow for this.

Have switched to this as my little pug has started to gain a bit of weight after being spayed and because I've learnt that Burns is an ethical company, and they only use good quality ingredients and protein from sources that are sanctioned by compassion in world farming. My little dog seems to enjoy this food dry and the " biscuits" seem to be a good size for her. I shall monitor her possible weight loss with interest!

I got this food for my young Labrador who has been spayed and has put on a bit of weight. In her first week on the food she lost 800g. I thought this was a bit fast so have upped the quantity and also add in fresh vegetables to bulk it up (what with a Lab liking to see a good bowlful). The only draw-back is that the pieces are tiny for a big dog and also it is very bland. She doesn't complain though and tucks in regardless, and if it works in getting her weight down to below 30kg then I will be happy.

I was really shocked with this product? I have three cocker spaniels that can eat pretty much anything.For some reason with this product they cannot keep it down. I tried feeding them something else for a couple of days, they were absolutely fine and then yesterday I tried them back on this they threw it up. I am going to have to throw the entire lot away because I cannot risk my dogs health.

This is a fantastic food, keeps my 2 dogs healthy, happy and on top form, they thoroughly enjoy their meals and eat every scrap. Helps keep their weight down too. So convenient having it delivered to the door.No more lugging heavy bags

My seven year old Labrador was a bit "chubby" shortly after Christmas as my lovely daughter fed her when looked at with those big brown eyes. Put her on Burns and the weight has dropped off. She's much livelier and has a waist again! Perhaps I should try it too! Definitely recommend.

Was recommended this product when I was out walking, by someone who uses it, for my overweight lab.Eventhough he gets a lot of excercise he is big.Managed to loose a few pounds already on this food and he isn't looking for food all the time. No dodgy tummy problems. Glad I found this food on here as local food supplier doesn't stock it.
