Seems like a good quality, well made thing. Learnt the code from my other handset straight away, and transmitted to door operator with a long press the first time. Anyone having trouble with syncing this likely hasn't read the manufacturer instructions, or the extra ones provided by the retailer.

This is an excellent remote, weighty and solid. A special plastic 'key' easily opens the back for battery changing - so much better than the remotes which have to be levered apart, inevitably breaking or cracking. I shall have this as my 'indoor remote'. This was described as being chrome, but the one I received was aluminium, which I actually prefer. If you have a preference, I would suggest you contact the supplier for clarification.

I have a remote on my car keys that live in my trouser pocket all day whist at work, not an unusual situation. I bought a metal bodied remote as after two years the plastic ones supplied with my doors were breaking after constant use. Unfortunately after about 3 months use the item just stopped working. I replaced the battery but that was not the problem. After return to the supplier for testing they replaced it.Then after about 6 months, one day I found the garage door open when it should have been closed, it happened again, and again. I have found that the button for one door channel is not so sensitive that when it is toughed lightly against anything the door operates. It is not totally unable as one cannot tell without checking whether the garage is secure It is now about to be returned to the supplier again who said I have had it too long for a refund. My advice is do not waste your money, its just too unreliable. I will buy the cheapest replacement I can find on the basis lifespan is short and will need to be replaced on a regular basis.

Bought this to replace a tiny plastic one that fell apart. It is a good quality remote which is a little weighty but i think thats good. The only reason its a 4 not 5 star is that I regularly have to check that the battery cover is tighly on and the loop is still done up tight, but thats no real hardship.

Really difficult to programme, in fact we haven’t! Fiddly and confusing. If you are currently using the stick style and want a ore substantial item this looks the part but it won’t transmit the code from the stick to this item.I’ll persevere but most likely will return them.And the YouTube demo they send you to doesn’t even deal with this item.Very disappointing, and expensive.

It is very easy to programme and very useful

Far superior to the cheaper plastic version - this is a very high quality handset, easily programmable. It's a lot of money, but worth it - I now have 3 of them.

Our original Garador remote control broke. This is a perfect replacement, nicely styled and well made, it is more robust than the plastic versions. Programming to our Garador control took under 5 minutes.
