If you remove the brush from the metal carrier (it will slide out) you can cut the carrier with a hacksaw and just use pliers snip the brush to the same size. You will then just need to crimp the ends with the pliers to keep the brush permanently in place. Hiya to my knowledge since fitting on the only light I see from the front of the door is the sides. Buy when I've fitted the storm guard on the sides and around the top of the door it shouldn't be a problem. The brushes are soft. It's helped me a lot for the bottom of my door. I would recommend.

It is aluminium(silvery) with black bristles.
