MLVOC Airplane Travel Neck Pillow for Sleeping, 3D-Eye Mask & Earplugs Kit

I wrote a 5-star review yesterday after receiving this neck pillow. It hasn't posted yet, but I'm going to amend my review after wearing this neck pillow yesterday. First, I'll just say that I wish I could give it more than 5-stars. This neck pillow is more of a neck brace and for someone like me who has arthritis in the neck, it's more than just a pillow to use for a long plane flight. I bought it for an upcoming 10-hour flight from NY to Athens, Greece. I had purchased another neck pillow from Amazon and returned it, it didn't give great support, was bulky and the covering over it was too 'fuzzy' and made me hot. I returned that one. This has a cover that's smooth and comfortable and zips off for washing. Very practical. Just look at the design and how the sides are upright, not rounded like most common neck pillows. It makes sense that if the sides are vertical, it will keep your head vertical and not leaning to one side or forwards. I bought the model with the slide-clip front in front, rather than the model with two strings that tie. The strap is stretchy and each side easily clips together. The strap can be adjusted for length. I prefer it snug, the two sides almost touch when closed, but that's a personal preference. The memory foam is firm enough to keep your head upright, but soft enough to be very comfortable and easy enough to roll up tight and put it in the little drawstring pouch it came with. The eye shades and ear plugs are a nice extra bonus, but the star is the pillow itself. I have hardly taken it off since I got it. The pain in my neck just instantly dissolved. I'm on my laptop a lot, which adds to my neck strain. Wearing this neck 'pillow' which is more of a comfortable neck brace, just totally removes any neck pain or strain. I always do my 'due diligence' before purchasing anything on Amazon, the reviews are helpful. I hope my review helps someone decide to buy this neck pillow. It's just the best find I've had on Amazon this year. I'm grateful to the designer and manufacturer for putting out a quality product that's portable, comfortable, economical and actually does what it's meant to do.

This is my first time every purchasing and using a travel/neck pillow and the best thing I can say is I should have bought one a LONG time ago. All these years of travel, I don't know how I managed without one. I've seen people use them but never thought they provided much help. I've always thought they were more gimmicky than anything. That is, until I tried it. Many is the time I will doze off on a flight only to awaken as my head bobs to one side or the other. I startle myself and then doze off again and repeat this throughout the flight only to arrive at my destination even more tired/exhausted. I decided to finally give it a try and of course, my decision was based on other people who have used this particular neck pillow and now I see why. It comes a bit compressed in it's own little carrying bag which I really appreciate. I guess the thought of carrying around a neck pillow just always seemed so awkward but this one compresses into a nice ball and fits neatly into a little bag. But that also made me think if it compresses so easily, how supportive can it be. Well, I took it out of the bag and within seconds it unfolds into shape. The first time I used it was amazing! I say amazing because I fell asleep and never once did my head bob. I slept soundly and only woke when it was time to get ready for landing. I don't think I moved an inch the whole time. And when it was time to get up, my neck wasn't sore and didn't feel like I slept in the wrong position or anything like that. I'm still amazed out how comfortable it is and how well it keep my head in position so I could sleep. You can remove the outer case in case you want to wash it and the bag comes with blinders for your eyes and ear plugs. If you ever take a flight, this is a must have! I cannot believe I've flown all these years without one. I'm giving these out this year as a Christmas gift!

Product itself: clean, nice removable cover, good color, great with carrying case so it folds down small, nice quality eye mask. Now, is this the best travel pillow design you’ll ever own? Maybe, maybe not. The fact is, there’s no such thing as a magical universal product that works for everyone. We have to start with the fact that every person has a different size and length neck. Every person is a different height, so where the pillow hits on an airplane backrest will be slightly different. People’s heads weigh different amounts. Next there’s the fact that people want different things from a travel pillow. Some want a lot of support like a medical c-collar, some want flexibility for their head to lie in different positions. Some people have issues with their head bobbing forward when they sleep, others want more support behind the head instead. Point is: there’s no such thing as a perfect design that works for everyone. My perspective; 170lb 6’ male. This is a good to great pillow. I’ve only used it for one round trip 9-11 hour flight but so far I’m happy with the ergonomics. It provides support but I could still lean my head to one side or the other. No head bobbing forward issues. The memory foam is supportive but easily compressible, much more so than the regular foam pillows I’ve used in the past. With air pillows the support is never just right; either too much air or not enough and it just never feels good. I like that it’s smaller in the back vs. other designs; I hate feeling like a travel pillow is pushing my head forward. The cutouts on the back and sides allow my head to sleep left, right, or lean straight back without feeling like my head is unnaturally being pushed in any direction. It’s comfortable to wear even when I’m not trying to sleep. Overall, I find it about as comfortable as any travel pillow can possibly be (I.e. trying to sleep upright on a plane which is 0% ideal to begin with). I feel like there’s probably some crazy magical design out there that would be even better, but I’ve never owned that pillow. So for now, this pillow is super comfortable to wear and meets my needs so this is what I’m going to use going forward. It’s not quite the best thing since sliced bread, but it’s the best travel pillow I’ve ever bought and that’s as good as it gets right now.

Washing: The first thing I did when I received this pillow was taking out the pillowcase to wash it, and I also washed the eye mask (I have OCD about this type of stuff). I dried them on low heat with my clothes. I loved that I was able to wash these items! Traveling: Folding them back into the small pouch was easy, the memory foam is so easy to condense for travel. I was able to tie the pouch's strings to my backpack so it doesn't take up space. Sometimes my boyfriend would throw the pouch into his backpack and that was fine too because it was so small it really didn't take up much space! Eyemask: I love this eye mask! It is so well crafted. The eye areas are curved outwards, which looks weird, but is so practical! It doesn't put pressure on my eyeballs because it curves outwards, and the space is big enough so that my eye make up does not get bothered or rubbed off. Pillow Comfort: The pillow is made with a flat side and contour side. This makes it great for me to receive a different kind of support for my neck depending on which way I put it. I THINK the correct way is to leave the contour side downwards because it shapes to your neck and shoulders. But when I want more support for my head so that it doesn't wobble on the airplane, it was better for me to leave the contour side upwards (to each their own, this is my personal preference). The 2 sides of the pillowcase has a string for you to snap together, so that the pillow can form a circle around your neck for optimal support. I loved this because I really hate it when my head bobbles forward when I sleep sitting straight on the airplane. My boyfriend found it very comfortable to use as a pillow when he leans against the window or against my head lol. Overall, we loved this pillow!

The first picture shows the package it arrives it (i have taken out only the eye shade and ear plugs). The first thing that caught my attention was the high quality shades for the eye. These shades are 10 times better than the ones i would get during international travel in the planes. They are dark, smooth and look great. I do not know if my high resolution pictures can capture the nice contours of these shades. In the last picture, i have shown part of the pillow. The pillow comes in a cover that can be removed for washing. The cover is smooth and high quality. The memory foam of this pillow is high density and not cheap material. Just for testing purpose, i wanted to see if i can use this pillow for sleeping purposes (because i wind up sleeping in airports, during my international travels, and lack of pillow is an issue when i sleep in airports due to long layovers). I used this pillow as my nightly sleeping pillow for 1 week. First couple of days i had difficulty in getting used to the pillow, but the subsequent 5 days provided excellent support for my neck. I am both a back sleeper and a side sleeper. So, i had to find the proper way to keep the pillow for the 2 neck positions. But it was easy and comfortable, once i found the way to use it. So, now i can say this can be used for laying down also (in dire straits, where you can not find any other pillow). I am not equating it to a traditional pillow like you find in hotels, but this will serve for my airport sleep situation because it packs small and well. The package itsself is not very big. I have 2 other pillows that are air-filled travel pillows. This packs a bit more than that. But in return, i get a strong support of the memory foam. The air filled ones will tend to move under your neck and do not provide a strong support like this one. So, in terms of support this is much better than an air-filled neck pillow. I am happy, though i wish it was a few dollars cheaper than the $24 or so that i paid for this.

My initial reaction to this travel pillow is... Pros: good quality, nice fabric, just about the right cushioning, good side-to-side cushioning, would work best with a moderate recline to the seat. Cons: impossible to get back in the fabric bag, limited front cushioning, difficulty tightening the pillow. I'm sure there are better(easier) designs out there as far as ways to tighten the pillow. I don't know if it is worth the price. I'm going to try some other travel pillows.

Very soft, supportive, and easy to pack. The cover is easy to clean, and the included accessories are a nice bonus. Great purchase!

The title says it all. Otherwise, it’s good quality, if a bit challenging to take out of and pack back into its carry-bag. I can’t use it for travel, but it’s nice to use while lying on the couch and dozing in front of the tv.

Great and comfortable. It could be challenging to place it in the bag for some but it is very compact for storage.
