Q: Hi, do these have a locating pin in the middle? If so, what size hole is needed in the glass? Also, are they suitable for outdoors? Thanks.

Hi Kelly : You do not have to drill holes in the glass. You will see from the picture that the Clamp is sort of 'U' shaped. What you can't see on the picture is that there is a hole in the base of the Clamp. This is to screw the clamp into the floor, wall, or wherever (depending on where you are putting them). The glass is inserted into the Clamp which has two rubber pads (shown black in the picture). The two screws that you can see in the picture are used to adjust the width of the centre slot, and to tighten the clamp onto the outside surfaces of the glass. Sorry if this sounds complicated, but I think you will find it is fairly obvious when you have the clamps in front of you. The only note of caution I would give is that, although they are stated as being capable of handling 6, 8 or 10 mm glass, I used only 6 mm on my application (a sort of kitchen splashback) and I think they may struggle with 10 mm. Yes, with acrylic this is not a problem. Please note that you use acrylic glass that is UV-resistant.
