Great Repair, Fantastic Results
I was a bit sceptical as to whether this was going to do a good job or not but decided for £23 it was worth a try. I had three chips of various sizes on the corner edges of my black granite worktops and also a few other chips on the flat work surfaces area. I tackled the largest chip first, which measured approx 1 cm x 7mm x 4mm depth and managed to do a flawless repair in one go with 10 minutes curing time with the light supplied. If you didn’t know where it was, you wouldn’t be able to spot the repair. Even when you know where to look, it doesn’t look like a repair at all. It’s fantastic! I then did the others with similar success. One or two needed a second go at it to perfect it, especially those on corners where you need to fill both horizontal and vertical sides. This kit is so easy to use. Once the light was on it, I carried on with other jobs around the kitchen while it was curing ‘cause there is nothing worse that watching something and waiting for the time to pass before you can continue with the next stage! I went round my whole kitchen looking for little imperfections that I can work my magic on. It is a very satisfying job to do and I am very pleased with the results. I did find that the polishing head on a dremel tool with the polishing cream supplied in this kit did produce a better finish than just with the cream & cloth alone. Was definitely money well spent!

if I can do this, anyone can do this - very handy little repair
I bought this kit in black because I’d had an outrageous £150 quote to repair a sizable chip in my granite composite worktop. Some bright spark had decided to open a beer bottle using the side edge.Whilst I’m not the world’s best at DIY the kit was practically fool proof. The curing times took slightly longer than the five minutes stated, but my particular chip was quite deep so I approached it in several layers. For that reason, I would’ve appreciated slightly more sanding paper as the tiny squares weren’t quite enough and the curing strip was quite thin. Everything was provided in the kit it was very user-friendly and I’m delighted with the repair which you can only see if you knew where to look for it.

Black holes do exist.
I bought this to repair a black granite fire place that had something drop on it, chipping the front edge twice. (Each 1cm long) I was unsure if this would work but it's done the job. What was a light grey chip or two that you could see a mile off is now perfectly blended and flat, completely matching the rest of the fire place. It wasn't easy to use as I was doing a front/top edge chip which I knew was awkward to fill. I used a bit of clear plastic taped to the front face so It could fill the gap between and then all I needed to do it flatten the top face when filled. It took a long time to set but this is probably due to the plastic that the UV light had to penetrate to set the resin rather than the actual materials. They supply a little reflective cardboard sunbed / stand for the UV torch that is also supplied. This can be frustrating to use on shiny surfaces as all it wants to do is collapse so make sure you have something handy to wedge by it to stop the slide. The repair is solid and has been in place over a month with no deterioration.Highly recommend for SMALL repairs.

If you are patient, this does what it claims
I used this product to repair a shallow half inch wide chip on the edge of a flecked black granite kitchen surface. The liquid resin went easily into the damaged area but you have to be careful to avoid it sagging if the surface is vertical. I found it helped to fill a small bit and then cure it with the UV curing light before moving on to deal with the adjacent bit and so on. The clear plastic strip does help push the resin into the chip and to make the eventual surface flat. It took me a minute to work out the little switch on the UV curing light but after that it worked well and I could switch the light on and off at will. I found it important to position the light right up close to the resin. If you position it a bit away it takes much, much longer to work. It's a good idea, if you find the resin setting proud of the desired level or sagging from a vertical chip, to use a craft knife or similar to trim the resin before trying to sand it down. Sanding takes quite a while but is worth the effort. After sanding and polishing with the abrasive polish provided the eventual surface was a good match for my worktop - deep black and shiny - although of course it does not reproduce the flecking. It is hard to tell there was ever any damage.

Fantastic product - Still freshly repaired so time will tell (see pics)
I'm so chuffed with this product, the morning after a party, I noticed somebody had used my granite counter top to open a beer. The huge chunk taken out was a little disheartening because I assumed the costs would be staggering for a minimalist repair job...and also nobody owned up to it.I applied as the leaflet suggested and did several layers, using my own household tape (as suggested) if chips were wider than the curing strip provided. The counter top is also bevelled which of course doesn't help me, but I hope you agree, if you can tell the difference its negligible. The only deviation I took, was using very fine 2500 wet paper after it cured before polishing. The leaflet mentions that you can attempt to mix colours with the polish to get somewhere closer to the original, but I didn't feel comfortable, whilst also not owning anything to mix with. The counter top is mainly black anyway.I also had a quote for this repair, providing the photos of the damage and mentioned the measurements of the chip, 1.5x1.0 cm and about a 0.4 cm deep at its worst. They came back with a competitive quote of £288 (inc VAT), whilst also worth mentioning in their quote, the repair would be visible still.SO. To see that this product did probably the same job whilst costing a fraction of the money :)

Excellent product
The chips pictured had already been glued back into place, but looked awful and had bits missing. My kit came with a battery powered light. The instructions were clear and it worked well. I was super impressed that the sandpaper included did not scratch the quartz. However, the kit was missing a stand and tip for the tube (mentioned in the information), almost lost a point for that but the product was so good that I changed my mind.Let the before and after photos do the talking, 99% perfect.
