Really well made for anyone who works in all weathers involved with carpentry. The biggest point for me is the bottom tightening screw as anyone who has to use a bevel would tell you it’s the most annoying thing when trying to transfer a angle because most others have a side screw which always gets in the way. I would definitely recommend brilliant tool.

I wish I knew that because not having both on each side is an inconvenience for me. Also I expected better locking mechanism, but this one is not very sturdy. Any minor hit makes it prone to lose the adjusted angle.

This arrived today and is exactly as expected Swanson are one of the best tool brands available I’ve been in the building trade for over thirty years and you can’t beat Swanson . Really well made for anyone who works in all weathers involved with carpentry. The biggest point for me is the bottom tightening screw as anyone who has to use a bevel would tell you it’s the most annoying thing when trying to transfer a angle because most others have a side screw which always gets in the way. I bought this product with a quality brand . Swanson. Can it get any better,? Well yes just buy something half the price tgat does what its supposed to do. It doesn't lock off. I've got a grip like a vice and i can't turn the knurled thumb screw enough to lock the blade. Not worth it!!
