This arrived today and is exactly as expected Swanson are one of the best tool brands available I’ve been in the building trade for over thirty years and you can’t beat Swanson . Really well made for anyone who works in all weathers involved with carpentry. The biggest point for me is the bottom tightening screw as anyone who has to use a bevel would tell you it’s the most annoying thing when trying to transfer a angle because most others have a side screw which always gets in the way. I would definitely recommend brilliant tool.

I bought this product with a quality brand . Swanson. Can it get any better,? Well yes just buy something half the price tgat does what its supposed to do. It doesn't lock off. I've got a grip like a vice and i can't turn the knurled thumb screw enough to lock the blade. Not worth it!!

This one has scale in metric and imperial on one side and only imperial on the other. I wish I knew that because not having both on each side is an inconvenience for me. Also I expected better locking mechanism, but this one is not very sturdy. Any minor hit makes it prone to lose the adjusted angle.

I have to say that this tool has worked fantastic for me so far. It's true that it doesn't lock the angle as hard as the t bevel squares with wing nuts, but just don't gorilla the tool to the cutting station and you'll be fine. I'm a carpenter with 30 years experience. This is a fine tool. T-bevels are an asset tool for me. This one is an asset.

Strong grip without having the fastener in the way, very good idea. Solidly built and slides well.

Like most DIYers and probably some professionals, we will at some point lose a tool of some description, just one of those things!! Found myself in need of a new Bevel gauge. After checking out a few reviews, I came across the Swanson T-Bevel. So glad I did!!! This is a well made, well thought out bevel gauge. I won't use it extensively, such as a professional would, but if I was to, I feel it would be reliable for a long time to come. It is also a decent weight and size, by this what I mean is, you feel you have a tool that is strong, well made and built to last. The standout feature for me, is the locking nut, which is found on the end of the body, why I say this is because you can concentrate on getting your angle and when you have it just hold the body steady and tighten the nut, no central nut twisting where your hand, as you tighten, obscures your view of the angle you have just set and if you nudge it, you have to start over. This is a great bit of kit and would definitely recommend and if the need should ever arise in the future, I would buy again. You won't be disappointed!!!
