What is the extendable maximum length?

It's a good question so I've measured mine. From the tips of the blades to the midpoint of the two handles is 34 inches and, as you've probably noticed from previous ratings, they're quite heavy. For that reason, I'd suggest that the manufacturers considered that this was the maximum extension length otherwise there'd be a noticeable strain on the shoulders.

Will they rust if left outside?

Hi sorry but we have never left our gardening equipment outside always but them back in our potting shed.

How much longer do the telescopic handles make the shears?

Telescopic handles extend the length of the shears from 355mm to 550mm ----- 195mm
