Once dry, the paint is water-resistant, making it ideal for both indoor and outdoor use. This lightweight, travel-friendly set blends easily with other acrylics and watercolors, providing professional-quality opacity and flexibility for artists seeking vibrant, lasting color. ## Description Holbein Acryla Gouache is an opaque and highly pigmented paint that dries with a velvety matte finish, In terms of handling and mixture, it behaves like a traditional gouache with Arabic gum, but since it is made from an acrylic resin binder, it is water resistant once dry. Dries quickly and without a little change in the colour, what you see is what you get once the paint is dry. Acryla Gouache does not have the same fragile surface as traditional gouache made from Arabic rubber because the acrylic paint film is more flexible. It can be mixed with other traditional acrylic or gouaches, as well as watercolors. This set includes 12 colors in 12ml tubes: Carmine Scarlet Dark Yellow Lemon Yellow Light Green Viridian Ultramarine Blue Sky Blue Purple Siena Toast Black Azabache White Titanium Review: Very high quality- note smaller tubes when buying - Managed to get these on sale for $32 - very great deal! These are smaller tubes as others pointed out only 12 ml compared to 20 ml usually sold in art stores, but for me this is my first time working with these particular paints so it is a very good cost effective option for me! I love them so far They do dry pretty quick but I'm used to working with acrylics so they last about as long on the palette Making a large chart of the color mixes is something I will be doing so I can make colors quickly with an idea of how they'll turn out first to try and combat the quick drying issue They are very highly pigmented and the final color looks very matte and velvety I love these a lot and I will get a lot of use out of them! A note- I was recommended by someone at an art store to use mixed media brushes for these paints instead of watercolor brushes or acrylic brushes I have some Princeton mixed media brushes that work like a charm! Havent tried it with the other two to compare Review: A great set that you can take with you anyware - Wonderful set! So much is possible with the Holbein Gouache Color School set. For me it's the perfect travel paint set. ## Features - Dissolves in water, but once dried, it will not dissolve in water again. By diluting the acrylic gouache, add water and wash the brush with water. If dry, it will not melt in water at any time. - Quick drying. Dries in 20-30 minutes. - 12 colours in 12 ml tubes - Excellent light resistance ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B01BDCUN14 | | Age Range Description | Kid | | Best Sellers Rank | #62,821 in Arts, Crafts & Sewing ( See Top 100 in Arts, Crafts & Sewing ) #1,274 in Art Paints | | Brand | Holbein | | Brand Name | Holbein | | Color | Black, Blue, Green, Purple, White, Yellow | | Container Type | Tube | | Coverage | Opaque | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 152 Reviews | | Dry Time In Hours | 0.33 | | Finish Type | Matte | | Indoor Outdoor Usage | Indoor, Outdoor | | Is Waterproof | True | | Item Form | Gel | | Item Volume | 12 ml | | Item Weight | 9.92 ounces | | Manufacturer | Holbein | | Model Number | D981 | | Paint Type | Gouache | | Part Number | 07981 | | Size | 0.41 Fl Oz (Pack of 12) | | Special Feature | Lightweight | | Special Features | Lightweight | | Specific Uses For Product | Interior/Exterior | | Surface Recommendation | Fabric | | Unit Count | 4.86 Fluid Ounces | | Water Resistance Level | Water Resistant | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Holbein - **Color:** Black, Blue, Green, Purple, White, Yellow - **Finish Type:** Matte - **Item Volume:** 12 Milliliters - **Paint Type:** Gouache - **Size:** 0.41 Fl Oz (Pack of 12) - **Special Feature:** Lightweight - **Specific Uses For Product:** Interior/Exterior - **Surface Recommendation:** Fabric - **Unit Count:** 4.86 Fluid Ounces ## Images ![Holbein Acryla Gouache Colors School Set Of 12 - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61FJK9J9JeL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Can you use flow aid with this acrylic gouache?** A: I haven’t needed to add Flow Aid to this Acryl Gouche.
