Q: Can I wear these just on their own?

No reason why not, though there are probably more suitable socks for a particular activity eg if you want socks to wear with running shoes then running socks will be designed with cushioning. I wear them with rock climbing shoes where I need a thin sock. I wear them underneath walking socks with walking boots.

Q: Just bought these and packaging was thrown away before first wash. What max temperature are these washable on and can they be tumble dried? Thanks

I’ve had mine for a few years and don’t remember checking the wash label. I wouldn’t hesitate to wash them at 60, though I wouldn’t ordinarily - 30-40 is fine for me. I’m not sure if I’ve ever tumbled dried them but I wouldn’t be be worried about doing it with these, though they don’t take long to dry on an airer.
