Fum little toy for the kids
Took a little bit to figure out but it is a fun little cheap toy to play with the kids. They werr having contests of who can return it back the farthest, and also throwing it to each other. Its like a yoyo puck with no strings and up in the air. There is a trick to playing with this. You have to angle it slightly upwards and horizontal flat so it comes back to you directly. Any slight tilt to the left or right will have it boomerang back to the right or left. The greater the tilt the greater the return to the left or right.

Has a mind of it’s own
Lights up nice but good luck controlling it. However, it does manage to find it’s way out from under furniture like a roomba ~

Definitely not a boomerang
This thing doesn't hover or act as a boomerang. It is cool that you can shake it to activate it but other than that it has glaring issues. When you turn this drone on it veers off rather than staying stable. I have tried throwing it in multiple different ways and not once has it returned to me. Made of cheap materials and with poor functionality this really doesn't appear to be an item worth buying. The design is lightweight and looks cool. However, it doesn't make up for how bad this "boomerang" is.I do not recommend this unless you are looking for a drone that lights up and flies off randomly.

Fun, but don't expect more than what it is!
I'm an engineer. I saw "drone" in the title. The description says throw it 30deg upwards for a boomerang and throw it downwards for a straight line. The engineer in me is thinking - wow, this must have accelerometers, detect the throwing angle, self-right the "ball", detect position, and fly it back to me. IT'S NOT THAT!Think of it more like a mini powered frisbee. The interior propellors give it lift. When you throw a frisbee upwards into a slight wind, it will come back to you. It's just like that. The interior propellors provide the slight wind. If you angle it slightly downwards, while throwing forward, it continues forward. It's very light, so it's difficult to throw with much force. My wife and I were able to toss it back and forth with about 10-15 feet between us. The trick seems to be to angle it slightly down, but "throw" it forward. We were able to play with it for about 12 minutes on a full charge (that included some "off" time when one of us missed/dropped it).The outer cage keeps fingers out and is very lightweight. It can bounce/fly into things like cars, etc. but the lightweight plastic cage keeps it from damaging anything. The on/off switch is a very tiny button accessed through a slightly larger hole in the top of the cage. If you have big fingers, you might have to use a pencil eraser. After turning it on, you have to shake it to activate the blades. This works well when the ball hits the ground, it tends to bounce - which deactivates the blades. The lighting is pretty cool. I suspect this would be most fun in a small group, at night. The power cable is a special USB cable with a tiny plug on the other end that inserts near the power switch. I liked that the USB-end of cable contains an LED to indicate the charging state.Comparing blue and silver, I like the blue a little better, but that's personal preference.

not a bad idea, but doesnt work as expected
something is wrong with the balancing on it, so it keeps flipping over and crashing into the ground. the idea is not a bad one, but i think the execution was poor.

Does not work
It doesn't fly and return to you. It just all over the place with no control at all.

Worked perfectly until it flew into our fish tank. My kids loved this and it was super cool
