Very bright and many ways to power it. Very easy to use and charge. Great light.

The media could not be loaded. These collapsible lanterns are just great. They have a built-in battery that can be charged by either solar or USB, open the bottom and you can use 3 AA batteries. I do not know if when using regular batteries overrides the use of the built in Li-ion battery. The lanterns can also be used as a power pack. The LED light is extremely bright. Weight wise they are very light, weighing 10oz without batteries and 13oz with, this will vary depending on the type of battery you use, I was using Li-ion batteries which are a little lighter than regular batteries. It took over 48 hours to completely discharge the built-in battery. They come equipped with a hook and a magnetic base for hanging. You receive 4 lanterns and 4 USB C charging cables. Great to have for power outages, night fishing, car repairs, camping and any other activity where light is required. I highly recommend this item.

Very good light

I ordered the TANSOREN Solar USB Rechargeable COB LED 3 AA Power Camping Lantern to add to our hurricane emergency kit. Two for $18.99 is an attractive price but you do get what you pay for.The lanterns are mostly constructed of tough plastic and I would say could take a beating. There is very adequate light output however, when it is on, it always consumes the same amount of power. The varying light output levels are accomplished by sliding the lamp portion up or down. This is like putting a shade over the bulb so it is not as bright. I suspect that for economic reasons, the actual lamp output is not variable, this reduces battery life.Upon receipt I put the lamp on a 20 watt charger and it took about six hours for the integral indicator to light up, seems like a long time. At 6:00PM I turned the lamp on, at 9:30PM the lamp was quite dim but it did provide enough light for a small tent, by Midnight the output was too dim to be of any use. Six hours is much less time than I would like or expect from the internal power supply. I opened the lamp and found three cells similar to AAA batteries which have a fairly low capacity.I did not try the built-in solar charger. Considering how long it took to charge the batteries with a 20 watt power supply, it would be questionable how long it would take to charge with the tiny integral solar panel.The lamps also have a built-in holder for three AA Batteries which would provide an additional 15 hours of light assuming that AAA batteries are 800 mAh and AA are 2,000 mAh. So combined there would be about 21 hours of available light, more than enough for a weekend away.The manufacturers listing states that the lamps are waterproof. I found no evidence of any effort to waterproof these lamps and did find numerous ways for water intrusion into the units. I suspect these are not even water-resistant let alone waterproof. So fine for indoors but do not leave them out in the rain.So overall if you are looking for a cute little lamp at a budget price, these should work for you.
