Inexpensive but good
A good general purpose fixed-blade knife. Nothing fancy, but Morakniv makes all kinds of knives ( I have several in my shop) that are made of good steel that keeps and edge and is easy to sharpen. The blade here is fairly thick and can be used for prying at stuff in a pinch. When compared to knives made by the big knife makers, this doesn't compare to my similar Benchmade knife, but as an inexpensive tool it does a pretty good job. Not a tool I'd bring into combat, but it's quite good for a camping trip or an around-the-house tool and not a heartbreaker if it got lost. The handle is comfortable in my medium-sized had and the plastic/rubber handle provides a good grip. Comes with a cheap plastic sheath that does the job.

Best knife below $50 -- I meticulously researched it
I am a huge fan of Morakniv. I don't know that I will ever buy another brand of outdoor and utility knife. Before the rest, it's important to note that this knife is in what Morakniv calls "Dala red." It's supposed to imitate mahogany, so it is rather brown, too. I'm not sure I'd have bought THIS particular color if I knew that-- the display pictures are a much brighter red -- I'm worried about losing it in the woods. Another thing -- not a complaint or a con, but a wake up call -- this knife is incredibly sharp. Not for a person who can't maintain full attention on the knife edge while using. Always know where you edge is and where your fingers are, and never the twain shall they meet! I'm serious; it's not for a kid, either. It's dangerous! Not in a cute way. When I got my first Morakniv my hands and fingers were covered in slices and knicks, for weeks, and they are all like papercut thin, but deeper, because that's the kind of point the edge comes to. In that time, it got to the point where I simply marveled at the knowledge that I had YET AGAIN cut myself. After telling myself 50 times already to watch it. That point is dangerous, but very useful in boring holes in woods. WATCH IT! Closely! After those cautions: I am a serious fan!! I'm here to buy another Companion because they are sooooo perfect for my uses. Everyday I'm in the outdoors -- yard and farm work, plus camping and learning survival skills in the woods, Building, too. This almost indestructible knife actually has a straight-forward destroyer -- me. I've ruined the edge on the first Morakniv I bought by trying to sharpen it and only rounding off the beautiful, crisp edge and changing the bevel by accident. As I'm not a machine, I'll never be able to recapture that type of edge, so I gave up and come back for more. Don't sharpen it on any type of stone! Only use a sharpening steel to remove the burrs that form during use. Morakniv steel is very strong; I failed to see the edge did not need to reshaped or sharpened. Believe me, I've watched a ton of knife sharpening YT videos and practiced technique, before and after buying. Keep the edge Morakniv gives you, as it's the best you'll ever have on this knife. Otherwise, enjoy the heck out of this knife/tool. You made the best choice!

Lifetime warranty + solid value. Extremely sharp!
My first Mora knife & I’m extremely satisfied! I wanted a rubber grip, sheath, & fancy steel. Fit & finish are nicely done. I’m glad the Red color is darker like Mahogany. Fully polished blade of Sandvik 13C27 stainless + lifetime warranty were the main selling points. Incredibly sharp, Perfect for all around use!

Quality Swedish knife made for anything
Want an inexpensive workhorse of a knife? Get one. Or 2 or 3. I did. One is in my truck, camping gear bag. Bug out bag. They are extremely durable and grippy. I can’t say enough good things about them. Don’t waste your money on expensive knives that are meant for abuse. Get a few and see.

Best fishing knife I own
I have used and abused this knife while ocean surf fishing and it has held up great in the saltwater and sand. I have had no problems putting an edge on it also. It stays on my belt and not once has it fallen out of its provided sheath. I would buy it again.

Quality knife
Sharp and durable! Unless you're buying for looks, this knife is a hell of a deal for a quality bush knife.

"Olive green" picture color is somewhat misleading
It's Mora Companion. It's exactly how thousands of online reviews describe it: simple, durable, practical, well-made and scarily sharp. NOTE: specifically "Olive Green" variant photos are quite different from how it looks irl. The actual color is much darker/browner, and is pretty much what you'd call "Olive" (think green olives from a can) -- and not bright lime like the pictures would possibly have you believe. And in case you just received yours and are freaking out, like I was: no, chances are you didn't receive a "wrong" color. If you take a picture of yours on a non-white background in bright daylight, it'll look "lime" too, apparently.
