SorftinWallet Replacement Screw Kit – Elastic Cash Strap Replacement for Wallet (Standard Set - Black)

I bought this kit to modify my wallet that I purchased that came without the external band. I didn't know if it would fit or not but I took the chance and figured that I could modify my wallet to make it work. It fit flawlessly! I like it so much that I bought my son the same wallet and this kit. If and when I'll need to replace the elastic band on my wallet I'll buy from this company.

Great little kit for the price!

Nice looking screw driver except it doesn't fit the screws on my "The Ridge" wallet. I had to use one size smaller driver (that I'm sure most people don't have) to remove and reuse the existing screws. Large slots on the stainless steel cash fastener allow for easy install of stretchy strap but also allows it to unintentionally come off easily. All I used was the stretchy strap even though it doesn't have the little rubbery bumps that were on the "The Ridge" to keep the cash from sliding out. All the rest was tossed in the garbage.

I am really excited to find a kit containing replacement parts for the "Ridge Wallet" style of compact card wallets. The elastic, for example, *will* degrade over time and will need replacement. Given the price of Ridge Wallet-brand wallets--$100 or more--cheaper replacement parts are absolutely necessary to maintain the usability and functionality of the purchase.However, for cheaper off-brand wallets found on Amazon, this necessity of replacement parts is tempered by the comparative prices; you may be able to buy an entirely new wallet for $5-10 more than this replacement kit.Still, I prefer less waste to more waste, so replacement parts are still good, and I'm still glad they exist. I can confirm they're compatible, but there were variations and differences such that I doubt there are standard parts. It's easy to feel but hard to see: the replacement screws are fractions of a millimeter too small, which leaves a divot in the screw hole that you can feel. All this to say: your experience may vary with these replacement parts, depending on your wallet.Overall, I'm glad that I have this--I'm glad the product exists to be purchased--but I do wish it was cheaper, and I wish there was more standardization in this style of wallet such that I could be confident that replacement parts would fit perfectly.

This kit allowed me to convert my carbon minimalist wallet from the original money clip to a cash strap in just 5 minutes. I was able to reuse my existing screws so the ones provided in the kit can be kept as spares just in case I ever need any. The included hex screwdriver fit the original screws fine. However, I had one screw that was too tight to unscrew with the provided tool. That tool is really missing a handle so you have no real leverage. I was able to modify it by adding a couple of layers of shrink tubing over the end of the screwdriver. This created a sort of handle, making it a little fatter and also provided a little more grip. You could potentially just wrap the end in some tape as an alternative. Pic included. I would recommend this kit to someone wanting to do the same conversion. Just confirm the type of screwheads you have in your existing wallet and order the right version.

Elastic pilled up quickly, included screwdriver head stripped. Luckily I still had the Ridge screwdriver. It was aggravating to get money in and out of, but that's a design flaw and not manufacturing. I eventually went back to the money clip.

Got this in after ordering a Ridge wallet with just a clip. I wanted both a clip and strap. Can have both installed at the same time which is awesome. However... The screws, screwdriver and metal clip are great quality. The actual elastic strap on the other hand, is very weak and thin. Just simply installing the clip onto the strap, the fingers of the clip went straight through and put holes in the strap. It had almost no resistance in doing so either. If the strap can be made with a stronger, thicker material, I would have given this 5 stars. I like the idea of the silicone to keep the money in place. I just don't like having to be so cautious now putting money in and out of the strap.
