5 stars from me. It worked well out of the box. I started work within 2minutes. The weak link was the o2 coverage (via giffgaff). After 9 months the unit started to turn itself off. I did normal diagnostics and then reported it to d-link support. They were very impressive and sent me a replacement very quickly under the two year warranty. For the price/value, this unit is impossible to beat. I'd buy from d-link again without hesitation.

Been using this as an additional WiFi spot in the house for home working. Currently have a Vodafone data sim in and the speed is pretty reasonable, enough to do a video call without any issues. WiFi range is also good. Only reason for 4 stars is you can't seem to charge and use it at the same time which would be handy for longer periods of use as the battery is about 6 hours. This is portable WiFi, so ideal for a caravan, car journey, tent maybe or if you don't want to pay £20 a night in a hotel for WiFi, it's not a replacement for your home router. Like your mobile phone, the speed is only going to be as good as your provider/signal/amount of users/weather etc

This started off as a very good dongle. I had difficulties getting the Sim Card clip positioned because although it hinged open allowing placement of the Sim, it was tricky to push back and lock in place. Third time I tried to change the Sim, the clip broke and the Sim won't work without the clip in place. Given the price, very poor workmanship. Very disappointing

Very impressed with this device ... you cant go wrong with Dlink, their products are high quality and built to last for years. I bought this to replace my Huawei wifi dongle. will never buy huawei again , after a year the battery was overheating, the batteries are mass produced and cheap .. in the end it heated up the plastic covering and cracks started appearing .. after 2 years the whole device is cracked and broken .. very cheap product. Upon this product arriving you can tell the quality is higher, better plastic, tougher, thicker, higher quality all round. Stylish , easy to use .. take the cover off, pop in your sim card ... and locate the device on your system ... 3 easy steps .. plus it is mobile and doesnt need to be plugged into anything, which is a massive advancement on huawei... very impressed and would highly recommend it ... to anyone who needs on a mobile wifi device ...

If you want a WiFi hot-spot for the UK then this works well for little money. However, when most providers are giving huge amounts of data, I don't see why you wouldn't just run a hot spot off your phone. I bought this to use in France, because data roaming is a casualty of Brexit, and although many operators say roam like at home, they impose limits, which usually mean 5-6GB is all you get. Therefore we needed a hot-spot for our WiFi free holiday home (teenagers). This powered up and connected to a French network, received texts but would not provide any data. Tried with 2 different SIMs, both of which worked in phones. The issue seems to be that to provide data roaming, French networks want a full 4g connection, and this can only manage LTE. Therefore its being returned but its a decent product to use at home.

Does the job for 4g signal, good price. I connect 4 devices on it. Battery 3 hours l, I disconnected the becon to save power. Sometimes needs to be restarted to work well, and sometimes it restart by itself and that's why it would be ideal for online gaming but it's good for everything else I watch 1080 movies on it. I use it in the UK with 3 sim card.

Ridiculously cheap and very effective.I use it to connect my outside security cameras to WiFi and works perfectly.Because I am off grid I connect it to a power station and because it draws very little power I can go away for a week and it performs admirably

Ero un po' incerto sull'acquisto dopo aver letto alcune recensioni negative ma ho voluto comprare ugualmente. è stato fantastico: appena ricevuto il modem ho subito inserito la sim wind3 ed è partito come un razzo. Nessun e dico nessun problema. Si è autoconfigurato e ho potuto navigare sul web alla grande. Poi ho provato con un'altra sim, quella di poste mobile e anche qui si è avviato e ha configurato l'APN e tutti gl'altri parametri in automatico. Molto carina anche la grafica sul portale web dove si possono modificare tutte le impostazioni. Ho impostato lo standby a 10 minuti che in caso di disconnessione fa spegnere l'apparecchio per risparmiare energia. Francamente non ho ancora cronometrato la durata della batteria ma a occhio e croce mi pare che duri sulle 4/5 ore. Uno giorno lo farò. il led che indica lo stato di carica della batteria è un po' farlocco, nel senso che non è molto affidabile. io lo accendo e il led è blu dopo una ricarica completa; dopo circa un'ora il led diventa verde/arancione che sta ad indicare che l'autonomia è circa a metà. dopo forse un paio d'ore la spia diventa rossa e si è portati a credere che la pila sia quasi esaurita e invece NO! resta acceso per almeno altre 2 ore! quindi non è molto preciso ma per me non ha importanza. La cosa bella di questo modem è la presenza di 4 led che indicano la potenza del segnale e ciò mi da la possibilità di posizionare l'apparecchio in determinate zone della casa dove il segnale risulta essere più forte. Parlando sempre di led, ce n'è uno che indica anche l'arrivo di nuovi messaggi nella sim. Interessante anche il meccanismo per bloccare la sim, non l'avevo mai visto ma speriamo che non si spacchi facilmente; non credo succederà ma non si può ancora dire. la potenza del wi-fi è ottima come altri modem che ho avuto. L'ho posizionato a circa 7 metri di distanza dal computer e non è calato neanche di una tacca. A volte ho provato a posizionarlo al piano superiore della casa e naturalmente qualche tacca di segnale è sparita ma la navigazione su internet non ne ha risentito. insomma è stata una vera sorpresa questa D-Link. i miei modem precedenti erano huawei e TP-Link ma questo D-Link DWR-932 mi pare anche meglio in tutto. Robusto, ottimo al tatto, ben strutturato. Utile anche il tasto WPS per una connessione facile e veloce. La connessione viaggia bene senza intoppi. Comunque ripeto, sono 3 le cose che mi hanno entusiasmato: il fatto che ha funzionato da subito senza dover fare niente, il menu e le varie funzionalità all'interno del portale D-Link e i tanti led che indicano il completo funzionamento. Quello che mi ha fatto arrabbiare è che 2 giorni dopo che l'avevo acquistato il prezzo era sceso di 5 euro...mannaggia :-(

Works for first month or 2 perfectly and im using this as a remote router for a area thats a wifi blackspot in a shed Then your spend the rest of the time cutting your thumb open trying to undo the back to take the battery out and put it back in to turn it back on again If its for the same reason as mine by the tp link amplifier or a cat cable

Estaba buscando un router móvil para cuando tengo que trabajar cuando estoy de viaje y no quiero descargar la batería de mi teléfono rápidamente. El aparato funciona y es barato, pero la velocidad que da es muy baja. Lo he probado con líneas de O2, Orange y Digi y con todas es más o menos lo mismo. Por ejemplo, con una línea de Digi, en mi móvil he logrado descargar a 400Mbps pero en este aparato usando el mismo chip, en el mismo lugar, no me da más de 15Mbps, está bien que es solo 4G y el móvil 5G, pero creo que la velocidad debería ser mayor. Sin embargo, por lo que vale (me costó 16 euros en oferta) decidí conservarlo y no devolverlo.
