We Hit The Jackpot
Yes, we believe that we hit the jackpot. We wanted a good reading light that we could direct to a book while laying in bed. One that would brighten the page, but not the entire room. We both love to read ourselves to sleep and usually one will quit reading before the other.We did not want a light that had to be mounted on the wall, and we do not like headboards. We both have a wooden night stand and this light mounted to the back of the night stand perfectly. Plus, it gives one the ability to direct the light exactly where it is needed plus it is easily changed if the need arises.This light is exactly the way it was described, mounted in a matter of minutes, is stable, moves easily, and the on/off button is placed perfectly. We could not ask for more. It took awhile for it to arrive, but well worth the wait. Now that we have purchased one and tried it out, we will be purchasing another for the other side of the bed. We highly recommend this light.

Great light
These are so easy to install, we have 3 now. They are great for over the bed reading when installed on the headboard.

2 out of 3 malfunctioned quickly, do NOT buy
I am upset with these, I wish I could still return them but since I can't I'll just try to warn others! They malfunction, one blinks to the point of looking like it could cause a seizure and one just simply stopped working.

I bought this last month, when I turned it on it's okay. When I tryto turn it off I have to try 2 to 3 times before it does turn off.

Best bed reading light I've tried
UPDATED: I found that a 3/4” PVC coupler fits perfectly on the light head. It makes an excellent shade which significantly reduces the amount of light that leaks to the side...for about 50 cents. And it doesn’t look bad at all. See pix.Easy to mount, good bright light, solid and sturdy construction, looks good, love the on/off switch location on the head. I wish the cowl on the head was a bit longer to help block light from escaping to the side, for those times one person wants to read and the person on the other side of the bed wants to sleep.
