EXTREMELY EASY TO USE • COST-EFFECTIVE • VERSATILE • SATISFYING: I happened to buy a 4-pack of Kasa smart plugs recently. After experiencing firsthand how easy it was to integrate them into my existing and very average home Wi-Fi system - not to mention tie their control into existing Amazon smart devices such as my Echo Dot and EchoPop - I simply couldn't resist the urge to (join the rest of you in the 21st century and) purchase a camera. APPLICATION: I wanted an easy to buy, implement, use and maintain a remote controllable and reasonably 'smart' surveillance system - just to keep an eye on things that happen on the street. I learned very quickly the Kasa camera system has features that enable it to not only track motion but specifically people when desired (see Activity Zones IMG) ; features include various levels of tracking up to and including "Patrol Mode" which will cause the camera to rotate through the four savable "scenes" at the specified interval(s) allowing for 360° monitoring from just one camera. Even has NIGHT VISION. I actually bought two cameras and haven't even set up the second one because the first is already doing so much! TIPS & TRICKS: Make sure you purchase a reasonable quality 64 GB mini SD card. That is the maximum size card this model of Kasa camera can utilize. TO INSERT THE CARD: using the mobile interface pan the camera upward until the mini SD card port and reset buttons are exposed (see IMGs.) Insert the card LABEL UP and press until firmly clicked and secured in its final position. I have been running the camera "24/7" (the actual mode is known as "24/7 Monitoring") at maximum resolution of 1080p for ~ 3 days and have used less than 25% of the 64 GB capacity. (see IMGs) HOW TO SAVE EVIDENCE: Should something unfortunate occur and you find yourself in the position of needing to save that which your camera captured you can simply click on "24/7 recording" & move the saved timeline bar to the requisite point, wait for playback to start and click the 🔴 in the lower right-hand portion on the playback screen. (Note: Give the video recall some time - after all it is the camera having to go back and read saved data while still recording and saving new data, transmit saved data through the Wi-Fi network to your phone and ultimately save it in a new location. Even the fastest systems will take a moment.) Following these steps will save a video of what was recorded that you will find in your video gallery. *There is a portion of the app allocated to Activity Alerts Tracking which is available with a Kasa Care subscription; I do not have that subscription thus I am unable to speak to those features at this time but imagine they facilitate easier activity recall and saving. WHAT TO DO NOW: Click purchase. 😊 Seriously this thing is fabulous especially for the price point. Off the top of my head some of the easiest applications I can think of would be keeping an eye on your pets or your kids while they're at home or having an extra pair of eyes when needed. *** Keep in mind this review is written from the standpoint of someone seeking easy applications and easy use - If you are looking for something that is sturdy, has own/redundant power, data storage and signaling capacity, is designed to survive not only adverse weather/climate but also potential tampering this is not the device I would recommend.

Very useful if you want to monitor the inside of any room; it produces a clear image, and if it detects motion, it tracks it and sends you a notification via the app. 👍

Easy to set up, great image quality, and free app. Perfect for checking on pets. I bought a second one for another room, and it was simple to add to existing app. Works even in the dark with good clarity. Can set favorite view points and remotely tilt and scan from your phone. Range is very good for the areas I need to see.

I picked up this Kasa indoor security camera, and overall it’s been a solid addition to our setup. Initial setup was quick and easy, and the camera itself feels durable and well-made. Mounting it to the wall or ceiling is straightforward once you get past one small hurdle. The main reason I gave this a 4 out of 5 is the mounting clip. Removing the clip from the base of the camera was more difficult than expected and took a few minutes to figure out so I could mount it the way I wanted. It’s doable, but not very intuitive. Once installed, the camera looks clean, and the app is easy to use. One of my favorite features is the ability to save up to four different camera angles using what Kasa calls activity zones. I use these all the time since I have them set for every angle I want to monitor. We mounted ours on the ceiling, and flipping the view upside down in the app was simple. For around $20, this is a solid indoor camera with some great features. If you’re okay with spending a little extra time during mounting, it’s a good value overall.

Was honestly so surprised how good this camera is! Goes 360, up and down, and has night vision (which I didn’t know till I checked it). The audio is great and the microphone work great.

This camera was easy to set up and works great for monitoring my home. The video quality is clear, and the motion detection helps me stay updated in real time. It’s a great value for the price and gives me extra peace of mind.

I want to preface this review by saying I was excited to find a camera with a budget friendly cost and a good amount of positive reviews, so I was hopeful... Review for: Kasa Indoor Pan/Tilt Smart Security Camera EC70 I purchased this camera on August 17th 2023, it delivered on August 27th. I did not subscribe as I did not want my information stored anywhere, so I purchased memory cards separately. Upon receiving the camera, I was quickly up and running, the instructions were clear and I was able to follow them without any concerns. The camera worked beautifully, seamlessly, and clear, for roughly 2 months. On October 22nd 2023, I started noticing glitches in the streaming and an extremely long time loading. I want to note that my household runs SOLELY on a wifi network and because of this, I am equipped to handle various devices and have a very strong connection. No other device in my household has encountered such problems. Finally after a few hours of glitches and loading issues, I went into "settings" on the Kasa App to help diagnose a problem. Turns out my camera was offline. SHOCKER. After the app prompted me through the laundry list of troubleshooting, I completed this list SEVERAL times. I reset, I unplugged, I reset again, I removed device, I re-added device, reset my home router, still to no avail. Literally, hours spent trying to figure out how to make my camera reconnect. I even went as far as to call my internet service provider to see if there was an outage, even though ALL OTHER devices in my home were streaming perfectly, my phone was working, and appliances were connected. I know, crazy, if I would have had an issue with my home wifi, I am certain any other device or ALL would have issues. But no just this camera. I reached out to the customer service team via email and provided a thorough & detailed explanation of the issues I was having , and they responded with asking me to provide a "small video about the APP slow to load." whatever that means. They provided a link for trouble shooting, and if that still didn't work then I would have to send another email telling them in detail what steps I followed. Which I very much explained in my initial email. I went through ALL troubleshooting steps again, close now to 20 times and was able to get connection but it was somehow worse than before. I emailed them telling them step-by-step, and even told them I wasn't sure why I needed to re-explain the steps I am taking when they are the EXACT same. Granted this camera did not cost me my life savings, but it should work longer than 2 months. They responded telling me to download A WHOLE OTHER APP and follow the steps in the email in the app and send back the files collected, as if I am part of their IT team? HECK NO. I will not download another app and send back "files" just to not have resolution again. Who knows what data is collected during that process. I am almost embarrassed how frustrated I am with this whole thing. I really just wanted to put my experience out there so someone else doesn't have to deal with the bull I just went through. Do not contact customer service, they are NO help, and only send emails during witching hour. I am eating the cost of this camera and know now to better invest in my future purchase. I DO NOT suggest this camera, READ all reviews, good and bad.

Summary: I will recommend it to anyone who want an IP camera that do pan-tilt to cover large space and connects to a local wifi. The price is also quite competitive, not as low as some off-brand cams but it's hard to beat the price for a name-brand product. I bought it to check my house cat when I was traveling out of town for Thanksgiving and it served the purpose very well. I feel like I made a very good purchase. -- Pro: - Pan-tilt function is very useful with 360deg pan and ~75deg tilt range of motion. One camera is enough to cover the whole space. - Easy to connect to wifi; connection is reliable. - Support local SD card storage without any subscription. You can access the local footage remotely via internet connection, without any subscription. - Motion detection is good and you can easily setup which zone should it monitor to trigger the notification. - Both day and night image quality is good (for a security camera). I can zoom-in to detail. - Included power cord is pretty long Cons (minor): - Require creating a TP-Link account to use - The downward tilt range is quite limited. It can only tilt down by about 15 degrees and I cannot see my cat on the floor when I place it on a table or shelf, though a much larger range of motion is available for tilting up (around 60 degrees). I suspect it was designed with a reversed ceiling mount in mind. I want to place it on a shelf without reversing it. I ended up positioning it slightly tilted down in its neutral position so I can see my cat on the floor (see photo). - No privacy cover is offered - in case you want to cover it when not in used. - Not many mounting option. The only way to mount it is is via 2 screw holes to screw it into your drywall (or some structure).

Worst camera pan tilt does not move..move with very Difficulty...not able to share with other family members...I returned bcoz of 10 day return policy otherwise money would be wasted

Have been using these cameras for years and installed on every corner of my house. Best choice in home security.
