I have a French Door (2 doors next to each other) without a strike plate. Will your product work for me?

Hello, Thank you for your interest in our Product. Trustella Portable Door Lock is mainly designed for regular doors with enough 0.2in gab between door and the frame.

How exactly does one install this for outswing doors?

Your question has been forwarded to us by one our customers. We really appreciate your feedback. If you have an out-swing double side door like what's shown in product infograph image, you can apply the lock as for a regular door from inside. We hope this answered your question.

If you have a deadbolt lock and a regular doorknob lock do you need two or just one for maybe the deadbolt lock?

If you want extra protection then you can get two but I feel like one works quit well. Also I have yet to try this on a deadbolt. I would suggest buying one for your doorknob and testing it on the deadbolt before purchasing a second

Does it damage the paint on the door or wall?

It did not damage the door or paint at all. You don't have to tighten it until you can't anymore. You can still leave it a little lose and they still can't get in since it's on a thread like a screw & nut.
