I tested a pack and timd them. After the suggested 8 hours, they were still quite hot. After 10 hours, warm enough to keep your hands from freezing. Even after 12 hours I still found them slightly warmer than my hands, but this was indoors, what they'd be like outside, maybe exhaused by then. I would recommend that you buy a pair from a local golf or outdoor shop and try them for yourself. They can get quite hot after a few hours! Individually they cost about £1.50 a pair. I use them when I'm out dog walking so I can still easily hold the leads when using these warmers. The heat lasts for several hours so I can use the same ones morning and afternoon walks.
