Once this item is together it's a really good piece of furniture but you need a degree in Technical Engineering to put it together so if your really good at the flat pack furniture thing then great but if not then maybe this isn't for you, we had to implore the services of my extremely good neighbour who just happens to be great at this sort of this and as all the right tools for the job but it took him 3 hours and we did have some problems with the wrong screws that wheren't long enough, not enough dowels and a piece of wood left over that were not sure were it belonged. But now its up and in the right place it looks great - so thats the reasons for giving it only 4 stars

DESK BASE ONLT - Great desk but expensive for what it is?You have to buy the top shelves/cupboard separately?Would be good if could buy both together for a better dealprice together for the whole desk & top unit - That's why only gotthe 4 stars - Went together will took 2 hours to do desk base and topfor a novice not bad:

We bought four of these, four 3-drawer bedside cabinets and a 5-drawer stack so we have plenty of experience of putting these units together. The general finished look is good, but problems we encountered were: poor lacquer finished on some doors (runs, blotches) and some denting, which may have happened in transit as the internal packaging is flimsy. The instructions aren't very clear. Some of the rails are very similar but they are not individually marked so it is easy to confuse them. The fitting system use screws instead of cam locks for 90-degree panel to panel connections, which are rubbish! The MDF is stripped too easily leaving the screw turning into nothing, i.e. they have little strength. Cam locks are MUCH better. The hinges are poor quality (I'm in the furniture trade so I know), the screw holding the door part of the hinge to the cabinet part stripped the metal on one hinge, so the hinge is useless. PS we used the lowest torque setting on our battery driver. Also the wooden knobs are very poor quality. Again it is very easy to strip the wood using the screws provided. I expect all of these will come loose over time. The poor quality of the fittings and fitting system lets down what is otherwise a nice range of furniture. Look at IKEA first!

This furniture is cream, so not know why it’s labelled stone white. We bought to tie in with stone coloured wardrobe doors but the colour isn’t even close. Desk was relative easy to build but disappointed with the colour.

I very pleased with the size and look of the draws (however I will be changing the handles at some point for aesthetic reasons). Very heavy too (took 2 to carry the delivered box upstairs).It took 2 hours and 30 mins to build - built on my own, so would be quicker with help. Nothing tricky, but just a lot of screws to do by hand (Don't use a drill, could damage the wood). Some holes are not fully formed, so does take some amount of strength to do but I managed ok.Something else to keep in mind, is when building, don't screw too tight as can dent/split the soft wood. Would recommend for anyone that doesn't have much space in their room, but don't expect it to be a quick build.

This is a lovely desk which I managed to put together myself in about an hour. It's not very deep and is probably more suited to a child's bedroom than an office. However, we use it in our hallway under the stairs where it fits neatly and is out of sight of the front door. It has just enough room for the monitor, keyboard and some space for a few books or notepads to the side of the keyboard. The quality is good, but then again I had expected it to be as it was fairly expensive. It was carefully packaged and arrived in good condition. The drawer and cupboard are about as spacious as expected and overall I am more than pleased with this desk.
